I hope they wait until next March before they put out any dlc that would cover an ending. That should be plenty of time to make something decent. Anything this year would be bad. Take your time.
Considering that we already received our ending. We should be grateful that they would go to the extreme of remaking it for a lot of selfish entitlers. Don't ruin the game by rushing it. Next spring would be the best for all of us.

No, no. I was being sarcastic for those calling us (who actually want an endig; any endig! with closure! and not expect to pay for it in future dlc) self entitled. Which icon is the sarcatic one? this one?

Some games Take more than a year to Release Look at 3drealms Duke Nukem Forever Prime Example that game took 10+ years for them to Release it because it was Supposed to be out in 1999 but they Keep pushing it off and making every excuse that they can in turn i thought it came out great Also ME3 was hinted during the ME2 documentary as it was with other copies of the game for the ones with an open ear to "listen and understand what their hinting"Cthulhu42 wrote...

Yes Casey hudson you need to Stop hinting things NA not really a bad thing hun but back to this post lol..
it will take some games longer than normal due to the dev Team wanting to improve on it with bugs and stuff that aren't supposed to be in their which to me is a bright side of it ME3 dev team took long for this ones release its good in my opnion despite some missing flaws that we noticed and the Bugs ith MP

Yes, tell us all one more time how DNF was a great game.
This is a good post for two points: 1) "taking your time" doesn't always equal quality and 2) we need to push the importance of punctuation more in schools today.

Summer will mean different things to different people. Some people think of it as June, July & August (traditionally teh warmest months). Some people use the astronomical calendar which means summer is between June 20 and September 21 this year.
For Australians, summer runs November, December and January.
For the Extended Cut, Summer will refer to when it is done and ready to be released. Could be this month, could be next month, or August or September.
Epic win!
Thanks for responding, any clarity on this matter is greatly appreciated!
I just hope the EC will be good, so I can play SP again. Not just ME3, but ME1 and ME2 as well.
Just playing mutliplayer until EC is done.

And I totally agree, quality is very important. However, they've already said what it'll be "an explanation of the ending" (that makes sense in their head) and nothing else. There's no chance to make anything right, because for Bioware they did nothing wrong. If you're hoping this makes the ending super awesome then you're living in a dream world. May I come and play there too?theoldmanfromscene24 wrote...

lulz if it's August / Septemper, because that's just lazy.
End of zip line.
Quality is much more important than timeliness. They need to get this right, there's only one chance. And besides, do you really expect the full weight of BW to be behind a free DLC? I bet half of them have moved on to next project. And still more took much deserved time off after release.
End of line dancing.

It ain't like combat designers or level builders are needed for a DLC that has no new enemies/combat or new levels so yeah, obviously not everyone works on ECtheoldmanfromscene24 wrote...

Well, you might need level builders if a scene can't use one of the existing sets.

ME3 has already dropped out of the top 10 in game sales. Amazon-proper is selling the XBOX 360 version, new, for $29.99. If BioWare blows the EC, ME3 sales won't just tank--they'll go subterranean. They absolutely have to get this right--well, as right as is possible. BioWare will take as long as it takes to release the EC.
Thing is, the longer they take the less people care. If they wait too long it won't matter how good it is, half the fanbase will have moved on.

What makes it seem like it's a "lot of time" for us consumers is that the process of creating the EC has lots of stages, starting from giant discussions on "what went wrong", then directing who will do what and when, then writing the EC, then making new contracts with the VOs, then rewriting the EC because voice actor B or X aren't available, then designing the new storyboards, then making a model of the final work, then rewriting the EC again for what is not working, then recording the VOs, then rewriting what is not working with the VOs, record again, then render the final cutscenes and design the new "game levels", then debug debug debug.
All this process may not take too much time (if you add the hour count) in itself, but it takes months in real time (people will do other stuff when they are not busy in EC itself).
Taking "too much time" with the EC is silly, it has no payback, and it may well mean lack of management skills (therefore a bad end product), and they should well end it up while the problems are fresh on their minds.

Kalms, as I said, Summer covers June 20-Sept 21 and it will be ready when it is ready, next week, next month or whatever. We'll announce it before it is released (no matter what people think) , but only when the team is ready to do so.
Why not just writing: soon ?
