Why do you play multiplayer?

It seems to me that playing multiplayer is the same as telling Bioware that you are happy with ME3...

For those of you that weren't happy with the way ME3 turned out, aren't you kind of sending the wrong message to bioware?

Edit:
maybe I am not being clear, don't you realize that by playing multiplayer you are telling bioware they did a good job, when they obviously didn't?

Edit 2:
For anyone I have insulted in my posts, I apologize. I should not have called anyone stupid, and I should keep such opinions to myself, as they contribute nothing to the discussion.

Because I can, and it is quite fun too.

And yes I'm "happy with ME3." <_<

....Although, ME1> ME2 and 3 ^_^

Well because it's fun ofcourse :)

I play many online games, like BF3, LOL etc, but PvP online gets boring too. I like having a good PvE game, you know, playing against computer controlled enemies. Its a different kind of challenge and although one can say many things about the single player portion of ME3, I still think they pulled it off with the multiplayer part.

BW did do a good job with MP. This game wasn't marketed for the MP, so consider it a bonus. For a bonus it is pretty damn nice. None of us bought this game for the MP and none of us have yet to pay for any DLC, so I fail to why you are complaining about something you got for free??

It has it's problems, but so do all games. It is playable, it is fun, and it doesn't have all the BS that PvP has.

Geez, ok:

I play Mass Effect 3 multiplayer for severeal reasons.

1. The combat system, and especially the cover system is very good. Its fluid and most of the time it doesn't interfere too much with the gameplay (yes, I'd love to remap the all-mighty spacebar but I can't, so I work around it). I've found myself being annoyed with other 3rd person shooters because the cover system is inferior to ME3.

2. The "skillcap" is reasonably high, atleast high enough for a game like this. Now I won't touch the Krysae and GI matters, but let me put it this way: you are free to make the gameplay harder if you want to, by speccing your class a specific way or using a weapon thats not considered top tier. And thats what I like about it.

3. As I'm sure you've figured out from my spacebar comment, I play on the PC. Not alot of players use their mics, but the ones that do are usually great. Its a nice break from all the FPS douchebags you tend to find in other online shooters.

4. I'm in love with the Mass Effect universe, its fun for me to play as a Quarian, or Batarian.

I play it with friends. It is a great time to cooperate and play together as a team. This was my first real game to do that for me. Previously I played single player campaigns. Opened up a whole new world for me.

I think that Bioware is getting the "messages" load and clear. People needed more answers to the ending and they are working on it. People are having fun playing the multiplayer so they are releasing new maps, etc.

You are not alone in being disappointed in the game. There are others that feel that way, but it is not correct to assume that because you feel that way everyone else should as well. I am genuinely happy with this game in all respects (SP and MP).

If you are not happy with the answers you are getting then maybe you are asking the wrong question.

Ending ruined the SP for me. And after waiting 2 years for this game, I'm damn sure gonna play it to it s full potential. Plus, the MP is really addictive and fun.

I already paid for it, and MP has all the things BW got right (combat) and none of the things BW got wrong (plot, Shepard, conversation wheels ...). I'm not giving them a dime, and if the EC turns out to be what I think it will be, I'll stop playing MP, too.

So, for me, playing MP is saying that I haven't given up on this franchise yet. I still have this very faint glimmer of hope. I'll wait until the EC crushes that last glimmer of hope before leaving entirely.

So if you went to a restaurant and ordered a burger and one half of the patty was burnt and the other half was raw, you would just say, "Hey, it comes with a pickle!" and then happily eat the pickle and tell the cook how good the pickle was?

Sorry moater boat, logic fail.

By playing MP, you are telling them they did a great job on MP.

It has no bearing whatsoever to SP.

There is nothiong wron with SP either other than the plot holes in the ending.  They are well aware of this, and are fixing it.

They did. Well, if you perhaps ignore several minor things (and things that depend on POV), everything up to the Death Beam was a great experience, in terms of story and gaming. The nerd rage on their forum should give them some idea what went wrong with the ending, though.
And by playing multiplayer you just tell them that they did well with the multiplayer. Which is mostly true...

We don't need "more answers" we need "less crappy storytelling"

I prefer the pickle to the burger. Or in this case, the MP to the SP. Besides, remember the L4D2 boycott? Didn't work.

i think the better analogy would be the burger came with a free chicken sandwich, and it was great.  Who cares about the burger.

I liked both SP and MP. I didn't get all butt hurt over the ending. Even if I did, what does Bioware care if I play MP or not? Not like they make extra cash when I play. I've already paid for the game, might as well squeeze all the fun out of it I can.

You see things the way you want, but the multiplayer game and the single player were developped by different teams (one in Montreal, the other in Edmonton). By playing the multiplayer, you are saying that you enjoy what they did about that part.
To use your metaphor about the restaurant, if your meal is great but your soup wasn't, will you stop eating, so the restaurant's staff will know that the soup was bad?
If you enjoy the multiplayer, play it.

And for the record, ME3 was a great game. Altough ME2>ME1>ME3
