Thanks for the multiplayer, bioware. I play for one reason. True Co-Operative Experience! Please at least bring one more enemy faction, this is from a loyal fan!
Why do you play multiplayer?

@ OP; if the reward is not financial, or immaterial as you say, then it cannot really be quantified.
Besides, is the MP element of ME3 not a reskin/reuse/redesign of the FPS that was being floated for the ME universe?
It differs in many ways from the SP game, and (very) loosely follows the lore (in my opinion.)
It is for all intents and purposes a separate game.
With this in mind, I'll answer your first question from post one.
Bioware did produce a decent enough third person shooter.
It is still fun and engaging (for me.)
Second question; I think that playing the multiplayer doesn't send a message to Bioware as much as it sends on to EA. That yes, fans will want multiplayer attached to their favourite games. Even if it is buggy/glitchy/and laced with microtransactions.
I sort of see your point here. But since it was included in the price of the game I bought *anyway*, I might as well get some enjoyment out of it. As opposed to having a tantrum, and burning my discs, or whatnot. (Was tempted after finishing the SP)
