As the title says, a new Dark Knight Rises trailer came out today.

Bane looks like a total badass. And Hans Zimmer is awesome as usual.

I wish he'd snap Bruce's back. But he doesn't have anyone to take up the mask which would have to play out differently in the movie. Still, something about this movie makes me reserved about embracing it. I'm sensing that something's off.

Bruce will get beat up badly. Notice that in many of the shots, Bruce is limping around on a cane. I'm guessing Bane messes him up early in the movie which causes him to disappear as Batman for a while and then he'll come back.

Looks like Batman should've just called Superman to clean up his mess.

Nolan is brilliant with framing and composing, and making those car chase scenes really move. At times the way he edits can be too hectic, but other times it works great. There's a brief glimpse of a man firing into a tunnel, and with each flash from the gun you see Batman skirting left and right till he reaches the guy. Very cool. I'm so amped for this movie.

Am I the only one that thinks Bane was a really crappy idea for a villian in the last movie? I mean, Joker's always been Batman's number one enemy, and Bane was always more of a sidekick in my book.

It'd be like if they replaced Venom in the Spiderman movies with the Vulture.

Bane is one of the few villains that bested batman (picture above ) with strategy and brute force.
He is very fitting in my opinion and even the best if the movie is really last.

Well the thing about Bane is that in the books he was like Batman's Superior. He's a genius, he's nearly super humanly strong and fast, and he bested Batman by him self. Looking at it from that viewpoint, one could sa he's just overlooked, but no less of a challenge for Batman than Joker or any other one of his villains.

I never read the books. I grew up with the animated series, and the movies, but I wasn't much of a comic reader.

And in the show and movies, Bane was always a sidekick to a bigger villian. Even in Arkham City, his role is just about pointless.

The Joker bested Batman in the respect that he never died, and he never had an easy pattern to follow, because unlike other villians, he didn't have a goal, he was just insane. That's the scariest type of villian in my book anyway. Not to mention in the series, he f*cked up Robin pretty good, among other friends.

So far Nolan has used very interesting characters from Batman's villains gallery. Begins took great influence from Miller's Year One and Long Halloween, while the Killing Joke had some influence on Joker's character in the Dark Knight. Like I thought this movie seems to been influenced by Knightfall. So if it's anything like that comic then I hesitate to guess what's gonna happen to Batman. Looking forward to it very much! :)

Read the Knightfall series and come back to me... If you can still call Bane a "sidekick" I'll be super suprprised.
Besides with Heath Ledger dead I don't think its fair to expect the Joker.
