Am I the only one that thinks Bane was a really crappy idea for a villian in the last movie? I mean, Joker's always been Batman's number one enemy, and Bane was always more of a sidekick in my book.
It'd be like if they replaced Venom in the Spiderman movies with the Vulture.
Read the Knightfall series and come back to me... If you can still call Bane a "sidekick" I'll be super suprprised.
Besides with Heath Ledger dead I don't think its fair to expect the Joker.
I don't do comics, sorry.

You see, if you go back like a page (I know, that sounds awful) and read what I said, I told everyone that I grew up with the animated series and the movies.
You may have forgotten, but the comics aren't the only reason Batman is so well known.
I swear people don't think these days...

What are the chances that Nolan is getting his ideas from the animated series and Tim Burton's movies?
Oh I know we should get the Bane from Batman And Robin!!! YUMMY!!!
Give me a break.

If you're not willing to take the time to read what people say before you accuse them of trolling, then what you have to say doesn't really mean jack-sh*t to me.
And acting like a douche because you know more about a comic book isn't really something you should be proud of. For the record.

Did you know that the Character Harley Quinn was first introduced on the Batman Animated series? Oh, and how about Mr. Freeze and his sick wife? That backstory for the character was also orignially from the animated series. So it isn't far fetched to think that Batman in other media would be a source for Nolan, or any one else adapting a Batman story to use.

Not the point. The only thing he says when I suggest one of my favorite graphic novels was> "I don't read that" That raises a huge flag for me. Not only is Knightfall the definition of Bane its silly to even talk about him without bringing it up. From the trailers its pretty damn obvious Knightfall is where Nolan is coming from too. Then this guy comes along and says Bane is a stupid idea and then right away admits to never reading a comic.
If its not trolling its hella facepalm worthy.
God forbid they do a character never even mentioned in the previous movies or shows.

He was in Batman and Robin....
But I think I know what you mean, but to call someone a troll simply for expressing that they may not partake in the same forms of entertainment as you is a bit rude. Now I think it's fair to recommend material that will help give insight as to why Bane is in fact a great choice for the final film, I think we should also take into account all the various versions of the character. Because while yes, Knightfall undoubtably is the "real" version of Bane in the eyes of most comic fans, it isn't the only version. And in this case, it is a version that that poster wasn't privy to. He was just making a statement based on his own knowledge, no need to turn it into an argument.

I think that Lightning girl is useless and I hate her.
FYI I don't play Final Fantasy.
See how that could be annoying? Imagine if there were no comics there wouldn't be a cartoon or movies based on them.

Indeed. And I personally love the comics, prefer them in most cases too. But we should still respect the opinions of those that like the charcaters from different media. In your example the person doesn't know anything about Final Fantasy games, so they are talking out of their ass. But say there was a FFXIII tv show that they watched and they came to the same judgement. I'd still feel like I should respect their (ridiculous and blashphemous) opinion, because they do know about the things they are saying, just from their unique standpoint.

Bane has many different versions, styles, etc. I'm familiar with one or two of them.
If you're not familiar with the game Final Fantasy XIII, you're not familiar with Light AT ALL. Therefore, your opinion is completely invalid. Not partially, completely. You have no knowledge of the character, so you have no right to pass judgement.
I am familiar with Bane. Just not the one from the comic. Because I don't read comics. This makes me a troll? No. Does it mean my opinion is invalid? No. Because I still know of certain versions of Bane. The character isn't a complete unknown.
It's also not fair to claim I'm stupid because I don't engage in the same forms of media as you do. As I said, I don't like comics. I gave my opinion, and I stated why. You have no right to look down on me because of that.

It was just an opinion, as the Joker is way more well known, and to be honest, less people actually have read the comics than have seen the movies and animated series.
All that had to be said was, "If Nolan uses the Bane from the Knightfall series, he is going to be way more badass than what is shown in the other media."
Now that's all that had to be said here. I think we all get the point now.
That said, I can't wait!

understand it (havent actualy read it) he came closest to killing Batman, both physicly and psychologically, than the Joker ever did. Also it is abit refreshing, there is too much emphasis now days on joker as batmans main villian, dont get me wrong he is great villian, but there is so many other great villians that are being ignored or but second. Cant wait for the fim!

Facepalm worthy = stupid moment not you being stupid.
I bet even Einstein had facepalm worthy moments.
In all honesty I don't even know if the old 60s show had Bane LOL
