New York? seriously? Isn't that more than a bit... cliche? Hasn't that city been featured as a key setting for numerous video games, movies, and books? New York is boring.

How about somewhere on Earth that we typically don't see in video games... look at Halo; rather than set the Covenant invasion in Halo 2 in one of the more overused locales (New York, Washington D.C, London, Tokyo, etc.) Bungie practically invented their own city; New Mombassa, the high-tech African metropolis from Halo 2 and ODST, which I believe is based on a real location in modern-day Africa.

Just saying. If  Bioware were to make any more multiplayer maps set on Earth, they should make it somewhere more unique, more interesting. Some place most of us have never seen or possibly heard of, as opposed to someplace as overused as New York...

And  I want to see Kołobrzeg in Mass Effect  !  I bet it would be a major spaceport in the future ! And have you ever heard of a game taking place there ? Nope? Bioware would be soooo hipster original setting part of ME 4 or a DLC there .

Arturus Station would have been really cool to see....in fact I would have been okay if they never showed Earth. Earth never meant much in the Mass Effect galaxy and it was kinda silly for it to be the focal point of the third.

Would be nice to see this city in a game thats not about conquering it with the Red Army ^^

If i had to choose one city in the world to appear in Mass Effect, New York would be at the very bottom of that list or most American cities for that matter. If i could only have one though it would be....Istanbul or Cairo, they are beautiful cities in their own way with so much history, it represents humanity in both good and bad lights.

Egypt would be nice I like some Middle East Area but not those dictatorships and horrible countries. New York would be nice well in my eyes.

You're judging entire countries that you know nothing about so, why shouldn't he judge you?

New York is a terrible idea as it has been done to death in too many movies and games.

Yes, make a map of a city that has been done Hundreds of times in movies and games.

I'd rather somewhere else such as Toronto, Moscow, Berlin (or some other German city) and maybe somewhere like Miami,  But the best map they could make would be of St. John's, Newfoundland (that's where I live lol) .

Edit: When thinking about it, imagine fighting in Edmonton, on top of the Bioware studio shooting cardboard cutouts of the BW team

Imagine; Reaper descending from the blizzard clouds to Red Square while its snowing

Moscow was also a city which Germans couldn't conquer because of serious Russian resistance.

You want new york go play GTA4. Im sick and tired of seeing that damn city in 90% of games and movies out there.

Any other country in the world > new york in mass effect.

Why would we go to NY, it doesn't make sense. We leave Earth in opening and can't go back until the end, and it would be silly to go back in between the opening and ending.

Secondly, we can't go at the end because we are launching the final attack in London. We can't just say "Sorry everyone, but can you hold out against the Reapers for a little longer while I make a side trip?"
