It's a ****ing video game, they payed for it, the company is denying them the game instead of making it impossible for them to abuse it. That does not sound right to me.

The license agreement was available online before the game came out. If you don't agree with it, don't buy the game. Instead, they bought the game, accepted the license agreement and then broke the rules. They agreed to be banned and they deserved to be banned.Mr.Kusy wrote...
I'm generally against banns from games that I pay for, I find the practice disgusting, just as I find most of the industry now.

I'm a fair player and I don't like it when I have to quit a game because someone modded their weapon damage which also gives me a thermal clip of one bullet. I paid for the game as well and I don't want cheaters to ruin my game experience.

Fine and dandy, but can we stop with the quick fix of banning individuals who make up our population and seek a solution?

Make lobbies for cheaters only and take away cheaters' ability to buy weapon packs. This shouldn't be permanent after the first offence.ElementL09 wrote...

I also want to point out that I play on PC where cheating is easy because the data are stored locally. I doubt the issue is as bad on consoles. An exploit of game mechanics shouldn't result in a permanent ban, in my opinion. Temporary, perhaps, but BioWare should acknowledge that they're the ones who allowed it in the first place.

Well, I was kinda thinking along the lines of fixing or patching the game to make it so players wouldn't be able to do such glitches or exploits, but hey I think its a resonable idea to have seperate lobbies so that there atleast able to play ME3 multiplayer for the time that their banned, ( I think Rockstar is doing this with Max Payne 3).

I edited my post almost the exact moment you posted this and said the same thing about BioWare patching the game. They shouldn't permaban players for using game mechanics they made themselves. I think these players should be unbanned the moment this is patched.

*smirks* You know...... this game is so hard you HAVE to cheat, right? *rolls eyes*
I like to kick butt and play. It helps to have some good freinds - but for the most part we only do silvers. There is a lot of laughing and joking, and we all whoop some ass. We've never even thought about cheating. Why take the fun out of the game?

Hell yes, complitely idiotic system and those who switched offf feedback remain unbanned; as EA support told me, you can be banned for any game modifications - even if u modded coalesced.bin for new shepards outfits.Mr.Kusy wrote...

Do you even have any idea what it takes to fix some of the problems? Maybe fixing one thing will break 5 more things, so it comes down to a lesser of two evils. Then even IF you find the problem, which in it self is no small task, it has to be tested and approved. Just because the exploit is built in doesn't mean it should be taken advantage of.
Think of it like this. Car makers make cars that are capable of breaking the rules, you know the penalties for breaking the rules. You get caught going 120 mph and are essentially "banned" from driving. Is it the car makers fault, is it the cops fault he caught you? Are they going to tell the car manufacturers they can only make cars that have a max speed of 75, no, people are expected to follow the rules, even when given the ability to break them.

Look bro - a fix or not for the known issues.... and people will still try to exploit the game. They will find ways to hack and cheat no matter what.
They are not banning innocent people who simply lagged and fell through the floor or got stuck in the air. They are banning people who are changing game files in order to cheat. This is a malicious act, with the clear intent of cheating - it did not happen by accident.
People who are hacking and cheating suck - they ruin the fun for those of us who just like to play. I play randoms, and I play with friends. None of us cheat. I do not understand why people cheat - you have difficulty modes. You can take Gold-class weapons into a Bronze and own face (easy mode) or you can do Gold without using uber weapons. In other words, we have full control of the difficulty.
If people are intentionally modifying game files, then playing MP, they deserve the ban hammer.

A multiplayer match isn't "my game," it's still BioWare's game, and EA's servers. Yes, I purchased a copy of ME3, and that physical disc is completely mine. However, all that entitles me to is the license to use their software; I still don't own the rights to the files on the disc, the likenesses of any of the characters (even if I customize a Shepard for my use), etc. As part of my copy of BioWare's game, I have a "reserved spot" so to speak in the multiplayer mode.
Joining multiplayer is completely my choice; no one is forcing me either to play it or not. By joining the online community, we all agreed to abide by certain rules. The consequences of breaking them are that we could have our credits wiped, lose our spot on the leaderboards, or even lose access to multiplayer altogether. If any of those things happen to me, chances are good that I've done something to deserve it. If I feel that I haven't, I can ask to have my punishment reevaluated.
To give a real-life perspective on this, joining the multiplayer community is almost exactly like having a license to drive a car. If one is old enough, and has a car, it's almost trivial (though somewhat time-consuming) to get a license to operate it on roads maintained by the government. In the process of getting this license, you agree to certain rules (we call them laws) that spell out what you can and can't do while operating your car. If you break these rules repeatedly, or in a serious enough manner, the government (who maintains the roads and granted your license) can take that license away, rendering you unable to legally operate your car on their roads.
That's what these people have done. They've broken the rules of using the multiplayer aspect of ME3, and BioWare deemed those breakages serious enough to have their licenses to use that aspect taken away as punishment.

I'm guessing you have never played Call of Duty? Because the cheating on that game was really, really, bad. When people cheat, they deserve to be banned. When you cheat you are ruining the experience for others. With your logic we should just let all the leechers just get away with what they do and frankly that would suck.
Bioware, you guys are doing a great job cleaning out the cheaters, keep doing what you're doing.

i know, it takes a lot of work to fix the bugs....
....but what i wanted to say is, why doesn´t BW test the game before they sell it? fix most of the bugs, before the customers buy it.if this situation is given, there aren´t any (or few) complaints about the game/bugs/errors.

And sure they paid for it, but they went and broke the rules so...it's no different than Microsoft banning people from Xbox Live. Yes you paid for it, but you must follow the rules or else you're liable to get kicked.
