Seriously, what the eff is this?

I sometimes have several message threads going at once, and I like to respond to them all promptly. But no, the website apparently has some sort of "cooling off period" between messages, to, I don't know, combat message spam or something. I have NO idea why. So yeah, if I mispell a word in a message, and want to send a quick follow-up message to spell it correctly, GOTTA WAIT. If I want to respond to Person B after responding to Person A, nope, GOTTA WAIT. And for what? FOR WHAT? (Seriously, I want to know).

I get this too, Mods please get rid of it or let me tweak the site or someone else, you are doing a very poor job.

This is one of the methods the community uses to reduce the amount of spam in the forums.Having to wait 30 seconds to a minute between posts shouldn't be that much of a hardship. Is editing a post you've just made subject to the same time limits?
