This is really pissing me off now. Every time i think i've reloaded my weapon i go to fire it to fight back against the Hunter or try to use a power, stunlock wont let me.

Sometimes i think i've reloaded because i press reload and hear the 'click clack' after the animation, only to find that the reload didn't quite complete because of the hunter or prime.

Im not a FBWGG farmer, 99% of the time my mission settings are on Gold/random/random. But now i find fighting Geth absolutely no fun at all. They are cheap and nasty and now i can't even reload unless i've ran a mile away from the nearest enemy.

I might just stop playing Geth altogether coz its just a chore now.

1) Hunters have stunlock
2) Primes have stunlock
3) Rocket Troopers have stunlock
4) Pyros have double range now and drop you in just a few seconds + blind you
5) Hunters have double range now
6) Primes fire turrets through walls which magically land directly behind you
7) Rocket Troopers can fire bullseye shots at your face even when u stagger them
8) Often Geth will camp the hack objectives instead of moving in to kill the largest cluster of human players
9) Hunters movement speed is immense
10) All Geth see through your cloak if you're Infiltrator

Geth definitely got beefed. They give Reapers a run for their money. No doubt some feel they are harder than the Reapers......until you break out Overload....then its a party.....especially when you get tech bursts.

Geth / Gold is seriously frustrating for me too these days. Krogans and Batarians have it the worst re: prime and hunter stunlock. The only way I survive Geth / Gold games these days is if I'm using a character which can stagger them back. Overload, Energy Drain, even Reave are useful that way. No wait, scratch useful, any of these three are essential.

Geth is definitely the most annoying faction to play now. However, unless you're playing a non-battlemaster krogan and getting hit by a prime, you can usually find a way to avoid stun lock.

Geth Gold is miserable unless you're doing Firebase White.

Since hunters are using hunter mode, shouldn't they be extra squishy like our GI and GE?

Yeap. Hunters should have low shields. Now they are tougher than Centurion or Marauders AND can perma-cloak.
Pyros should not be able to dodge.

Also, Primes sometimes cheat and deploy 2 turrets each. LOL

Ban them!

Tips for fighting geth:

1. Have battlefield awareness and don't let yourself get flanked
2. Kill them at range
3. For cqc, stun them before they can stun you (weapons, explosions, abilities)

Then it's pretty much the same as fighting any other faction, except easier because you aren't getting pushed out of position (reapers) or pinned down as much (Cerberus).

You will get ambushed no matter what. You kill a hunter - another spawns 10 meters away behind your back. With company.

Tips for fighting geth: Don't. Seriously, geth are simply not fun to play against. They aren't tactically interesting like cerberus or delightfully hectic like reapers.

They're just cheesy and boring.

This only happens on certain maps (jade), and only in certain spots. Not applicable to 99% of situations.

What it usually is is people somehow failing to see the shimmery cloaked hunters running up to the group. I almost always prioritize hunters when fighting geth just because I know I can't rely on anybody else to spot them. Once their shields are down, my teammates magically start shooting at them, but usually not before then.

Wave 10 hack on Gold Condor.  Do whatever you like. You will miss them.

Yes, I hate condor as well. Definitely the hardest to spot them on. Still, the vast majority of the time it's players not spotting what they should.

Even if you spot them, it takes way too long to take em down. By the time you take Hunters cloak he closed in, shot you and you get stunned. Primes are shooting, Pyros closing in. Rocket troopers machine gunning rockets. BW overbuffed geth badly. Plus the completely buggy nature of the faction and you have a nightmare.

Hate the Prime Stuncannon the most, closely followed by Rocket Troopers, especially if they fire 2 rockets per volley...

Currently we have three enemy factions in multiplayer - bull-rushing Reapers, smart-butt Cerberus and cheap Geth. Every faction has very simple key to it - understanding of what is thier power and learning to counter it. Reapers are great at line-breaking - learn to bend and not break. Cerberus has Phantoms - remove them from battlefield and three-year old child can handle the rest.
Geth are not particularly strong or sturdy - they just have bag of very cheap tricks. Stunlocking Hunters which can't be stunlocked at all, Pyro's which pierce quite a few covers and bug your health, rocket troopers which are entire topic I don't want to go into, stunlocking primes, geth turrets which shoot you from rather unexpected directions... Their entire force is annoying, and there is only one way you can fight them - kill' em all and not ragequit.

This is where killing efficiency comes into play. Headshots, AOE/grenades, and abilities like overload, proxy mine, or ED all do pretty well at taking hunters down. For targeted abilities, you just have to take manual aim carefully.

It really shouldn't take more than five seconds or so on average to kill a hunter. If you hit optimally, it might take two or three. If you miss and the hunter's closing in, dodge backwards and buy yourself some time or heavy melee to stagger him (if you're a tankier class).

I think that more than any other faction, geth tests your team's ability to kill efficiently. They are really the swarmer zerg faction. They're not much of a threat until they're up close in force, and then you're in a sticky situation. Always best to kill them, or at least thin them out at mid-long range.
