10) All Geth see through your cloak if you're Infiltrator

All Geth except GI and GE after the recent balance change...

But in all seriousness its nuts how hard they have become thanks to FBW/G/G

Funny none of those changes seemed to have much of an impact on any half decent FBWGG farmers...

Yes Geth are relentless on Gold. Phantom spam may be annoying, but at least they keep it interesting and dynamic w/o constantly doing the equivalent of knocking ur controller away and being cheap w/ their offense (firing through control, multiple rockets, seeing through stealth, turrets placed out of their LoS, rockets through walls, firing at you before they've even turned toward you, etc).

Yes, I hate condor as well. Definitely the hardest to spot them on. Still, the vast majority of the time it's players not spotting what they should.

Even if you spot them, it takes way too long to take em down. By the time you take Hunters cloak he closed in, shot you and you get stunned. Primes are shooting, Pyros closing in. Rocket troopers mashine gunning rockets. BW overbuffed geth badly. Plus the completely buggy nature of the faction and you have a nightmare.

This is where killing efficiency comes into play. Headshots, AOE/grenades, and abilities like overload, proxy mine, or ED all do pretty well at taking hunters down. For targeted abilities, you just have to take manual aim carefully.

It really shouldn't take more than five seconds or so on average to kill a hunter. If you hit optimally, it might take two or three. If you miss and the hunter's closing in, dodge backwards and buy yourself some time or heavy melee to stagger him (if you're a tankier class).

I think that more than any other faction, geth tests your team's ability to kill efficiently. They are really the swarmer zerg faction. They're not much of a threat until they're up close in force, and then you're in a sticky situation. Always best to kill them, or at least thin them out at mid-long range.

You can't really focus on Hunters and Pyros when there are 3 Primes blasting at you, 5 rocket troopers with hacked missiele launchers, turrets :wizard: appearing behind or to the side of you. If you get stunned or someone got shot down and needed a rez - that's it - all the geth closed in. Constant screen shaking and constant red screen, because ****** rocket troopers and Primes hit you and take your shields down doesn't help.

I wouldn't mind all this stunlock bull**** just as long as i could finish my reload without having to start the animation 2 more times everytime i get shot.

Or... if the Geth took stunlocks like we do - ya know? Where u CAN'T shoot back while ur in stunlock? Coz right now if i stunlock a Geth Prime, it can lay down a turret while its staggering. BS! If i stunlock a Rocket Trooper - it can still hit me with goddman missiles! Image IPB

Only if you take all available mods for shields and max out Health. Or Primes and Rocket troopers will make you their biatch in seconds.

Geth stunlock is incredible. I once played as a Krogan Sentinel fully spec'd for DR and Health/Shields. 1.6k shields, 1.2k health, buttloads of damage reduction. I was running around with my Graal Spike Thrower on Fire Base Giant Gold, when I came across two Primes. I bolted for cover, but before I could even press and hold the sprint button in the desired direction, 6 nuclear powered Saiyan-propelled Hadokens came flying at me and completely held me in place for three whole seconds. Couldn't even Ops Survival or nothin. then the Geth Turret finished me off with Sonic Boom rounds.  I R MAD.

But I can still retreat. And I'm pretty sure I've survived a rocket trooper rocket with some shields before.

I hate them now. I've stopped doing Unknown enemy cuz I have better things to do than to put up with the stunlock bs and everything else. Might not be so annoying for you campers but for those of us who move around the maps, geth simply suck.

And to be honest, I blame the Fire Base White Geth farmers. If you guys weren't so hung up on that one map and that one enemy, Bioware wouldn't give Geth Primes guns that were probably responsible for Hurricane Katrina, Geth Hunters shotguns used to hunt fully armored elephants, Geth Rocket Troopers RPG's that would put CoD noob tubes to shame, and Geth Pyros guns that are powered by captured Charmanders.

blame the people who constantly complained and cried about it on the forums. What is so funny about that is it didn't do any good. People still farm it, and guess who pays the piper for all the complaints.

1 spawn point change would've fixed FBW. Why can't BW do this? I mean other maps have no problems spawning enemies from thin air right before your eyes 10 meters from you. Too obvious strategy to discourage FBWGG farming? Most likely. So yeah, lets just buff the Geth to no end. Ooops! That didn't fix anything, but made Geth unplayable on other maps.

I mean when you have tougher time with Geth on Silver than you do with Cerberus on Gold - there is a problem.

I doubt they are the reason, simply because however you tweak the Geth, it won't help them against a tech oriented team. I don't think BW is unaware of that. If anything made FBW/G/G "harder" then it is the new objective.

Plus we shouldn't forget that for all we know, they recently only changed the wave data. The other tweaks, like increasing their damage or health all date back to march and other factions have been buffed around that time as well. Or am I missing something? I didn't really notice a change against Geth, they ain't more annoying than they always used to be...

Geth Hunter proves that TC is the best ability heh. Only problematic Geth unit for me. Rockets and even Primes stungun can be dodged is you're fast enough (tho lag makes it much more complicated). Yes, Hunter stunlocks you, but your GPS also stunlocks pretty much everything.

Anyway, he must make up for pyros. Even Brute demonstrates better tactics than those guys...

So that's why I blasted through 3 of my 5 medi-gel using my tank of a Krogan on silver. Used to be a walk in the park. Thing is, when players use tactics to make life easier buffing the enemy isn't the answer. Suddenly my Geth shotgun X and Cerberus Harrier are as much use as a Nerf water pistol against Geth. Bioware should make them smarter, not tougher. It's no fun when you can't drop them nearly as easily as they can drop players. If they were smarter and surprise players fair enough. All's fair in love and war? Unless you're buffing enemies way too much. Revert Geth back Bioware.

Objective waves are much tougher now with multiple Primes around, and no headshot damage on them. And in objective waves it's hard to keep together on PUG's.

Sadly. Avoiding with HS for pre-marking target for throw.

Yes, recent changes on Geth made it less useful vs. them, but seeing how Hunter Mode works on 'our' Geth, it makes sense.

Fair point, but besides that? I keep reading about all the changes they've made to the Geth, yet there ain't that many. Though I think that a while ago I was able to backflip out of a Pyro's range. At the moment, seems you can't do it... <_<

Pyro engages you at the much shorter range than is possible for him, so if you run away/backflip/whatever, you're not jumping to safe distance. He's got some meters/pixels in reserve.

Pyros will adjust their flame when you are mid-dodge. The best way is to not dodge back or sideways. It's best to dodge right into them and try to run through them. Then you have a slight chance of survival.
