To be serious, you'll probably get an ending where a nearby ship rescues them depending on your choices, or readiness.
WIth proceeding court martial for desertion for Alliance members, hopefully.
Not if Hackett gives the order in Extended scenes.
Then Hackett is an idiot for ordering the building something--and subsequently ordering the firing of--something of which he has no idea the proceeding consequences.
To guarantee that it doesn't kill everyone he has to say, "NAO RUN AWAE LAWL," seriously?
There is no "good" consequence from this.
You think it's stupid to not have your entire fleet stick around when a weapon of mass destruction goes off that could do some serious damage to the galaxy if it's energy is not focused by a missing piece they haven't gotten a chance to study, is a bad idea?
Sounds like you're going to be unhappy no matter if the reasons are logical.

I agree with you fully on that.
Someone told me yesterday that Patrick Weekes had to fight to get the squad goodbyes.
That is what the unverified Penny Arcade post said. It depends on whether or not you actually believe it was him.

We have eight hour meetings where I come from too.
But those are serious meetings. Like we have an issue meetings.
You'd think they would have had those when someone presented those abysmal ending options in the first place, but no.
I agree with you fully on that.

Unless the team is currently working on something else, we could assume this is EC related. I don't know whether or not the same team does the multiplayer, but it doesn't seem like he'd be that relieved from some standard new fare.
No. What I'm thinking is that everyone's custom tailored aftermath could potentially hit a lot of bugs triggering the wrong scenes, etc. But to me, it seems more on that kind of scale for visible relief.
Different teams.
ALL of the single player team has been working on the EC.
I was under the impression they pulled all staff in to get it done quicker, hence why Dragon Age 2 The Exalted March dlc was cancelled.
Just looked it up myself, dw. Someone got their facts mixed up...
and?
They cancelled the exalted march to work on Dragon Age 3. The official statement said 'another game' so one of my friends thought that meant Mass Effect 3

I wouldn't doubt it, honestly.
That was the only redeeming moment of Priority: Earth and even then it was a terrible sequence.

Bioware is hurting itself by being this vague. All we know about the EC so far is "clarity and closure." That's it. They've given nothing else to keep fans interested.MegaSovereign wrote...
I had high hopes for the EC, but honestly the fact that they haven't shot down any of the conspiracy theories (like IT) makes me feel like they're going to try to leave the game incredibly vague/open-ended in an attempt to please both the pro-IT and anti-IT crowds.
I feel like we're not going to get the definitive, narratively cohesive ending we've wanted.

So you're saying constructing a weapon of mass destruction that could go off and do some serious damage to the galaxy if its energy is not focused by a missing piece they haven't gotten a chance to study isn't a bad idea? Furtherore, you're saying it isn't a bad idea to fire said weapon without knowing what in the ever-living-Hell it would do?
Finally, you're saying that a weapon of mass destruction that could go off and do some serious damage to the galaxy if its energy is not focused by a missing piece they haven't gotten a chance to study is safe enough to fire in such proximity to Earth?
"F*ck it, let's try out that new H-bomb in the middle of goddamn San Fran."
Please. There is no logic in your argument.

If that's true then it shows how completely disconnected some of the team were from the base. I mean I'm verging on the not giving a damn side but that's just insane
No matter where you fall on pro or anti side the idea that the ending wouldn't even have had those is just pathetic, were they trying to damage the IP at that stage?

When something like this fails, it is either the script, or the director. This has happened time and time again. It will happen again in the future.

Uh, Hackett telling the fleet to get away before bomb goes off has no logic? I think it does. Because it sounds better then bomb going off with fleet right next to it. Especially if fleet is the only other chance you got against the Reapers, as Hackett says if it doesn't work.
