Hardly. Everyone that plays is in it for fun and the credits to unlock new weapons, very few are in it to try to get their N7 rank into 5 digits.

But what if people have fun by extracting since it is technically completing the match?

5% extra credits, just like the experience, for exaction would convince people to stick it out for another few minutes. Or perhaps a 5% reduction in credits if no one extracts. As it stands, though, 5% experience is worthless considering most people don;t play gold with anything below level 20.

I do it all the time. There is no point to wasting time extracting.

I think it's poor form to deliberately get killed after the wave 10 objective unless as a team, you've agreed to do so before the match. It's otherwise not fair to those that may be playing to win or going for the unwavering achievement.

What if people take it to extremes and start tanking after the wave 3 objective? That would be really annoying.

Lol, a reason to extract is not removing credits from wave 10. That's a reason to quit and say screw this game and it's need for constant grinding.

So you want an easier way to earn credits. Not a reason to extract? Yes it is an incentive to extract.but it is also adding easy credits.  10-20 grand extra for extraction? LoL. Maybe 1-5 g's on Gold sounds like a far fetched possibility. IMO EA/BIOWARE will prefer to split the credits we already make,as they feel we are already making enough credits per game. Adding credits breaks balance. Splitting credits creates balance IMO.

Still way over your head.

I would rather see unknown/unknown monetary multipliers than reward for extraction. I wouldn't mind if their were monetary penalties for extraction failure though.

why go to 10? you get the credits for wave 6 and die in about 12 minutes.

Way faster. BUT I only do this when farming with other people interested in Farming. 99,000 is lot of credits for a PSP. Everybody farms to some degree. I'd say I spend about 25% of my time farming and the rest is spent helping newer guys learn the ropes and leveling up.

I have a rule, no equipment usage on Wave 11. (Unless I need exp and there is a banshee picking up someone in the extraction zone or something)

But I always try to extract... I think only farmers wipe on wave 10.

I block players that do this so I don't encounter them again in future matches.

If the match was meant to end after the objective was met on wave 10, then the match would end.

People committing suicide, or causing the deaths of other players due to their unwillingness to play for another 3 minutes after we have played already for 20-25 is infuriating.

I try for full extractions all the time... just feel that if I'm there are wave 1, I'm gonna stay til the end. However, after wave 10, I won't use consumables.

Is there any way to block people on PC or is that X360-specific?

People tend to be idiots and can't do numbers in their head.

For example, it is completely nonsensical to ever buy a Spectre Pack when Premium Spectre Packs are available. (For the same credits, you get 5 Gold cards in Spectre packs compared to 6 in Premium's) but I am certain people still do, even Farmers who spend hours grinding cash only to spend on Spectre packs.

If the other players in game ask for a wipe then I'll follow it, but I'm not a fan of it. I'm a fan of finishing what I start and actually find it fun to finish the match. I don't think I've ever encountered it--at least not with the entire team--in public games.

I will also use any equipment left if I feel it's necessary on wave 11. Since the addition of jumbo packs I no longer feel any need to limit my equipment use.

That awkward moment when somebody attempts to win an argument by making stuff up and pretending they won. Your dignity got hurt a little, didn't it?

You don't even comprehend the difference between PSP and SP, and then you call people nonsensical. Epic fail.

To me, the extraction round is one of the best parts. This is the time when there's an intense and desperate struggle against overwhelming forces, when I get a bit of the same feeling as in the ME cut scenes where you barely jump into a ship with bullets flying around. People assuming the fetal position after round 10 objective ruins this fun for me. And I will use rockets/whatever if there's any left, as this is the "fire everything, leave no one behind" moment ;)

A 10 % credit bonus on successful (not necessarily full) extraction might motivate people to finish.

I troll them by staying alive or even reviving them. They'll have to wait until I clear the wave. Same thing happens for extraction.

Has anyone from Bioware ever said anything on this? I've only been on one team where everyone killed themselves during extraction and it was weird having to intentionally die so that they wouldn't immediately kick me afterwards.

Now that Bioware is doing their ban-waves for exploiting the game, does shaving a couple minutes off each match, since the last wave is pointless for credits, count as exploiting?

People encourage me to do it all the time, and I'm like, "Hell no bro, we're extracting!"

People forget this is an RPG, extraction is part of role-playing.

Dying after wave 10 is pretty lame. I like killing more bad guys.

They would never consider it bannable. If they really didn't like it, they would have shifted credits to extraction a long time ago as we've complained about this on the forums before.

Most groups I see actually go for extraction, though.

Spectre Pack - 60,000 Credits - Includes at least 1 Rare or better.

Premium Spectre Pack - 99,000 creits - Includes at least 2 Rares or better and a higher chance for
Ultra-Rares.

300,000 / 60,000 = 5 Spectre Packs
300,000 / 99,000 = 3 Spectre Packs (I am rounding down)

5 Spectre packs *  1 Gold card =  5 Gold Cards
3 Premium Spectre Packs * 2 Gold cards = 6 Gold Cards + higher chance for Ultra-Rare's

Seems more like someone is an Epic Fail at basic math.

Recently I have noticed an increasing amount people not having the interest to complete the entirety of matches. Instead of completing wave 11, they will get themselves killed on purpose after they earn credits when completing the wave 10 objective. It seems this trend is occuring, because they feel there is no worthy incentive to survive until extraction. "I got all my credits. I don't need to keep playing. Might as well get slaughtered." This is dialogue that is similar to what I hear from suck people. People feel that credits are much more valuable than 5% extra XP. I, myself have been tempted to purposely die on wave 10 just to get the match over with. Tying credits to the extration wave somehow could possibly end this dilemna.

Anyone else encounter people who do this? Have you felt the desire to just end it all on wave 10?

If someone does that, it's no big deal to me.  I totally get the reasoning behind it and it doesn't bother me at all.

Especially if one or two people are left and they are knocked out while surrounded by a truck load of baddies.  What's the point of wasting medigel if it's just going to get you rocked and knocked again three seconds later?

In a perfect world, we would go to Wave 11.  But, if the above happens, just wipe it and call it a day.
