Since my super expensive discrete card can't get me to 60 fps, is the intel hd graphics 4000 any worse?
Anyone have any experience with this?

I am using it and for a game that is 10 years old, the Intel HD Graphics 4000 has no problem running NWN in high graphics mode. I don't know what the fps is (I haven't checked) but the game runs great.
Though do keep in mind that this is integrated so it will depend on your other specs. If you plan on using it for gaming I would get a good processor and memory.
My other specs include i7 Ivy Bridge and 8 gb of ram. My OS is Ubuntu.
