Every time I go to start Mass Effect 1, it starts up the config utility and it stops working almost immediately, forceclosing the program. Is there a patch of some sort or something I can download to fix this? Otherwise I can't even start the game.

Although in the greatest majority of cases when that happens, you aren't supposed to be able to play the game on the very bad quality video chip that is involved, there are also problems with Windows 7 that require the immediate application of the patch, no matter what the hardware you have amounts to.

Sorry I didn't get around to replying, but I'll give the patches a try and see if they help. I sure hope they do, because I'd love to get a save going through all three games...
