Seems to be true.  The insta-stomp is the most annoying.  Downed and stomped before someone can say "on my way".

So when will we get some new content here? And when will we get weapon upgrades for our N7 weapons?

Don't see a point in continuing to chase these goals when there's really very little to play for anymore. How about a new enemy or some maps or a different game mode?

If you want to keep us interested then something has to be done.

You want upgrades for your N7 weapons? Complete the squad goal and contrinute to the allied goal. Commendation Packs and Victory Packs should each have an N7 weapon in them(after the most recent operation, I got N7 weapons in both)

Woeful execuse for not having the announcement on the PS3 to be honest.
PS3 should get the notification on the system too.
Not all PS3 users have a BSN account, or Twitter Account.
Not all PS3 users have heard of the Bioware Social Network. Not all PS3 users are aware that Twitter provides this kind of information.
A notification on the system would be very welcome.

Well, that is true because you don't get stomped by troopers in gold. I also think you get more troopers on silver whereas in gold you might be stuck with hunters, pyros, marauders, centaurions, etc. as the games progress and some rounds you don't get basic enemies.

However, in Reaper gold husks spawn constantly so I might just play that to boost kills for the community goal. (it's my favorite faction to face anyway)

I think so too. Only when I was stomped a while ago that I realised I can't remember the last time I was executed. I thought it must have been one of the few hundred "balance changes" that did it, but now that I think of it, it may coincide with the time I started playing gold almost exclusively. Yet it doesn't seem to be the troops, many have passed me by, and I remember Atlases liked to execute people too.

I'm gonna try to solo this. Lucky for me I recently unlocked the Krogan Vanguard, so this could be fun. I hope the prize packs have N7 weapons. I love the Valiant in single-player and would love to have in MP as well. I would be an Infiltrator ALL the time.

I'm more of a Silver guy myself but I'll happily do Gold if you prefer it. Got two other mates who'll play and knows about the challenge as well. Can't attempt it today though since I'm British and I'll be over my dads when the challenge starts

I did the events religiously for a while... now I just don't care. Not enough incentive. Haven't played ME3 for a solid month now and likely won't until the EC comes out or some legitimate new content is available. it just doesn't draw anymore.
