I just played a silver match (full mic's on everyone) where everyone thought it was on like donkey kong, and thus were rocking vorcha batarians and krogan (i did batarian soldier w/viper x). Ah well, guess I'll just go with the flow and not harsh anyone's vibe.

I remember someone from Bioware saying that if you see the splash screen, it is on.
But maybe my memory fails me.

The timing is often off, they almost always start a few hours before announced times.
And that is confirmed.

Very first game I join has two Krogan my Vorcha and a poor Human Infiltrator. Two vote kicks immediately went up as soon as it joined. I was the dissenting third, but it left before getting kicked.

I hope the entire weekend isn't like that.

No, Chris was quite clear that there can't be any other class but the three mentioned in the team. So nothing but batarians, krogans or vorchas in your all 4 team.

Only confusing bit is when does it start as we in Europe get a message that it already started when login into MPxbx

or like the game i just had with three 1/2/3/4 hacks and the infiltrator never moved. He sat cloak > shoot > repeat while we wait.....stare.....wait and then go do it. 

really if you are picking that class at least DO what it does best.....ugh

but i see lot of noobish games coming

Well, 6pm PST means 3am UK time, they should cater to locals more and  nt have everyone hyped up over something that's not on yet. Just played 3 games and got kicked out of the 1at as a geth as they all think it's on already,,, played next 2 as batarian and they were all convinced its on, and that were gys from the States...

Too much confusion over the times even in your US of A

Got thrown into a gold match in progress, level 4, playing as a vorcha sentinel, while looking for a bronze. Another guy that got dropped in had the same thing happen to him. Anyone else experience this in the last few hours? (managed to extract, so vorcha def not bad on gold, as I am NOT the good-est player out there)

Hello, yes GMT time notations are equal to UTC, so if you have e.g. "GMT +10" it corresponds to "UTC +10".
GMT is solar-based and an older time format, it was replaced by UTC.
UTC is synced to the world atomic clock(s), where leap seconds can be added. Leap seconds (a time particle that measures time not on the passage of seconds, but on the Earth's angular rotation) are announced at irregular intervals for the compensation of geographical occurrences, such as the earth's slowing rotation. :-)

Having completed the squad goal twice on gold and once on Silver now, I would just like to say, melee specced Krogan Sentinel is absolutely beastly on Silver - MUWUHAHAHHAHAHAH! *HEADBUTT*

[not even sure the event has started for everyone yet - but I've got the splashscreen up and hey, I'll continue to KROGAN SMASH for the rest of the weekend I think]
