I know this is in the wrong forum but Mass Effect 1 Tenchnical support is practicly dead and EA is useless so I don't know who else to ask. I can't get Mass Effect 1 to install on my computer. Everytime I try it tells me that the installation has been cancelled. The thing is, I have already played Mass Effect 1 on this PC before but I uninstalled it. What's causing this problem and how do I fix it?
Thanks

Are you using the same operating system as you did when you installed it previously?
There are plenty more glitches in the installer for Vista/7 than XP.
What I ended up having to do: Buy it from Origin on sale for $8 a while back. (A discount sale like that is something EA has recently said they would never do -- after they already did.) Origin installed it without issue.

I used windows 7 the first time and still do. And I'd rather not buy it again.
