This is the first challenge BW has had that is dependent on unlockables.  While I love the idea of a squad with a total IQ of about 40 and that communicates via grunts and bellows, BW has to tread carefully here.

Try to unlock one, if you don't, big deal. This won't be the last operation so you'll still have a chance to unlock something on other weekends. It isn't the end of the world folks.

That rant aside, I can't get that excited about someone missing the weekend challenge.  So you miss one pack.  Life goes on.  Face it, you'd just get another fracking Eagle anyway.

Well, that's EA for you. Every bit of entertainment they provide has a huge middle finger embedded in it somewhere. ::shrugs::

They did not overlook, they made it a challenge.  If don't have a built up manifest you struggle with gold= other challenges.  If you don't have a built up manifest you struggle trying to get the characters this weekend= this challenge.  It has only been one week since we have been granted a gift from bioware of being able to obtain 2 N7 weapons on operation weekends and already people are ungrateful.  You are still getting one N7 weapon just like we did in the first 5 events.  If you don't have one of the characters here is the challenge, get one by monday.  Some poeple it will be luck, almost like joining a gold match and being carried till extraction, for others you will have to put in hard work.  So whether it is getting lucky in your gold match and completing the operation squad challenge because of really good teammates or earning it through hard work there has always been a lucky element and a hard work element to these challenges.

Actually in the last event, reaching  the squad goal was dependent on reaching extraction with one of the new classes (rebellion characters) on the team. So you had to play with at least someone that had the unlockable.

Edit: Just to point out for those saying to buy a couple of packs & you'll unlock a character. From my own experience, I haven't unlocked a character in about 4 weeks now. That's opening, on average, a PSP + a verteran pack /a day.

Lastly, you have between now and Sunday to raise credits to buy psp. If you focus on gold you could easily raise 1million credits to get 20 opportunities for a krogan,barbarian, or vorcha. You've barely scratched the surface in the store. Can't blame the store if you never buy stuff

This is a terrible goal because it is is asking the players to organize. It's like herding cats.

Veteran packs will kick out rares. At the very worst, they help you get the uncommon gear and weapons out of the way so that you don't risk picking those up in a Spectre or Premium Spectre pack.

You can still contribute towards the allied goal.

As you're on XBOX, send me a friend request and pick a time (I'm usually on in the evenings/late PST). I'll grind whatever difficulty you want with you and get you some credits.

Oh so glad I have most of those classes unlocked save for the Vorcha sentinel. It will be a massive kick fest all weekend.

I'll be trying to solo bronze with the vorcha soldier, maybe the Krogaurd.

How is him maxing his gold weapons and him getting an n7 connected exactly? I've played nearly 450 hours so far and I barely have a better manifest than him. 

Also, if he hasn't unlocked any of em by now... his chances of doing it by 5am pst monday morning are still slim at best.

First of all, I have a full time job and a kid and I've still put in the time to unlock these characters. Quite sure I'm not the only one. Blaming RL doesn't cut it with me.

That said, I'm not here just to bash you. I'd rather help. My XBL tag is Darkwing Duckk. If I'm on, I'll do my best to help you through some farms real quick and you can gets some PSP's. I bet with a bit of (virtual) effort you can get something before Sunday night.

With the pool of unlocks being as large as it is and the trolly nature of the RNG store it is very, very easy to say that with a straight face. 

~150 hours since rebellion and plenty of psp's/sp's and I have yet to get a vorcha, nearly 300 hours since resurgence and I just got my first batarian and krogan battlemaster about a week ago. I am far from a casual player and I barely met the requirement for this challenge last week, there is something very wrong about that.

The op has only purchased the equivalent of 76 spectre or 38 psp. He hasn't maxed any gold guns or characters. I'm not saying he should be maxed but common that is less than a million credits per month. All im saying is that maybe some of the challenges are for more than the casual player. This maybe one of them.

I'm glad to see an event include bronze!!! I'm mostly a silver layer but I'm more than happy to go to bronze and help out some new guys out. My first event was the banshee event on gold way back to n7 20-30.

I don't know why I visit this forum anymore and bother reading the posts that aren't announcements. It is plagued with people whining about a video game.. complaining that they have lives and playing as much as other people isn't possible; yet they have time to go onto a forum. The excuses for this particular issue range from no time to play as much as the no-lifers, to not playing gold constantly, to RNG is treating me badly .

1) You don't need to play gold-- any time you put into the game pays off in credits and it is 20 minutes per game most of the time on lower difficulties. 2) You don't need to play "all the time". Just save up whatever credits you can and at the very least buy veteran packs to eliminate those uncommon and common items. 3) eliminate all of the uncommons at a pace of 1 veteran pack per 20 minutes. If you have been playing since release and had been buying vet packs whenever possible, those uncommons would be mostly unlocked and your odds of getting.. well anything else you wanted would be better if not much better.

should they buy psp or vets? thats one question I have, no idea where batarians/vorcha/krogans drop. However I am sure I got 250k exp card from veteran so maybe 3 veterans after gold game are better than 1sp or 60% of psp

While I can sympathsize with your situation, not being able to play, I have to say that I don't agree that its a terrible squad goal. Its actually will get people to play those characters more.

Its bad luck that you haven't gotten them and I'm sorry for that but not everyone has everything. It took me until 3 weeks ago to get the Asari Adept and thats common.

Stomping your feet and proclaiming you should be given a freebie while at the same time using your 'adult' responsibilities as an excuse as to why you don't have one doesn't make for a good argument.

Reminds me of the 'give everyone a trophy on the team thing' even if you don't win kind of argument. And yes, I realize thats easy for me to say because I have a character I can play.

I imagine they will have other weekends where some people will be left out, but thats life. You still have time to play and get a character before the event is over.

The point is that OP still won't qualify for the commendation pack even if he does find people to play with, since  he doesn't have the needed characters.

Or you have a life outside the game and can't play a lot, or the store hates you, or your only computer broke so you can't play as much, or you have school, or you took a trip out of the country, or Origin is messing with you. And I'm sure there are other reasons that someone can't play enough to have a krogan.

That's an awfully subtle way of saying, "I spent all of my credits on veteran packs."
