Finished this game once with a newly created character. Now after a long time, i am starting the MOTB campaign again, this time the proper way - with the character from the original game, as the story suggests, which i exported and saved right in the middle of the battle VS King Of Shadows.

1) The first thing is, i am a level16 Paladin/4 NW Nine; Safya is a level 7 Wizard/10 Red Wizard.
Though i can do what i damn please, i am interested in the wide opinion and tradition of the community - what was the official tradition when starting MOTB with original "saved" character, who'se experience level is greater than Safya's? Should i bump-up Safya's experience to my level?

2) Also, it seems level 10 for Red Wizard is the max? Or is it for any prestige class?

3) I don't like how Safya is build - i find lots of useless spells and feats, but if i start to build her from zero, i can not make her a Red Wizard. Any fix for this?

1) I always leave the NPC's as found. It was refreshing to actually be the star for a change. You don't like being The Man?

2) 10 is the limit for any of the Pr classes - except for those that are limited to 5, like your NW9.

3) There's no reason she shouldn't be able to take Red Wizard starting from ground zero. I suspect you're overlooking one of the prerequisites.  Then again, I've had something sitting in my overrides from like a month after the game first came out that allows free levelling for NPCs.  Maybe sniff around NWVault.
