People that prefer B3 probably aren't still playing ME3 and the game is doing fine.
Dawnguard/Skyrim isn't really competition for a co-op game. Skyrim players are still going to take a break to play ME3 during peak hours.
Borderlands 2 is the only real competitor here, and even then I don't think it will completely exhaust the player base.

I don't think ME3 multiplayer was ever designed to be a long lasting multi-player attraction that can stand up to the likes of COD or Battlefield. The focus on ME has always been single player, even if they did screw up the ending. The mulitplayer was just an added bonus, and a pretty good one I think.

I'm only interested if the mp is anything like War For Cybertron. I just hope if it is lag and balance issues don't scare off a huge chunk of the community... again.

Not interested in BF3. Same goes for D3. Borderlands 2? Interesting, but I have yet to play the first chapter (bought in december with all DLCs). Dawnguard will steal me from ME3 multi for a few days.
No thanks, I'll stay here. I have to. With me gone, who else will help people get their Commendation Packs?

your really satisfied with fighting the same enemies and using the same weapons and characters every day with tiny changes brought on by hardly significant "dlcs"?

Battlefield 3 CQ is out with armored kill in september
Skyrims Dawnguard for xbox360
Diablo 3 is still great people only come back for events
and bl2 will be out in september
BW better step it up by adding some stuff soon or its gonna be over
personally i want: New enemy types, objectives longer rounds maybe 15 waves, and a platinum difficulty.
so whats it gonna take to keep everyone on mass effect 3 multiplayer, and what games or dlc will draw you away?
I will be here in two months. I can open the MP and play some gold in a weekend, I don't need to stop just because I'm playing other games.
About this games:
I already play BF3, I don't like to spend too much time on it, it won't change with a DLC.
I don't have Skyrim yet.
I don't intend to get addicted in looting, so Diablo 3 is out of question for a life time.
and I have no idea of what bl2 is, so I don't care.

You should definitely try Borderlands out, it's one of my favorite games of all time. I beat the game about 12 times myself since release, it's excellent.
Glad to see you're sticking around though, I get a feeling I'll be playing ME3 MP through the end of the year myself. Can guarantee I'll be playing on just about every event weekend at least.

Really? D3 currently sucks once you get to inferno mode in my opinion and judging by the fan rage on the Blizzard boards and by the Metacritic scores most fans think the same thing. It'll be no threat to ME3 multiplayer for quite some time.
I'll still be playing in 2 months.

I don't think anyone would argue against having additional enemies, characters, weapons, game modes, etc.
But for a lot of people, we just aren't excited about most of the predicted "big hits" in gaming this year. Borderlands 2 is about it for me for the rest of the year since Diablo 3 was a flop for me. DLC never takes me very long to blow through and I'll probably get Dawnguard at some point.

Personally the only game coming out this year which I expect to consume my time is Guild Wars II. Played the beta, and even though it's not that innovative, something about it really hooked me.
ME3 MP is in slow decline and will continue to decline, but I don't see an ME3 "killer" per se.
Borderlands original bored me silly. Haven't finished Skyrim, so Dawnguard alone won't get me back playing (my system doesn't like Skyrim for some reason and I don't know why, since it's quite high end).
D3 never interested me and same with BF. Others vary, of course, but I just don't see a killer.
Personally, I'm already playing less, but I'm still playing and expect I'll continue to do so.

It's true, Blizzard kinda pulled a Bioware with their endgame for D3, but they'll sort it out eventually.Grumpy Old Wizard wrote...

Exactly. Inferno is no fun. I played D2 for years. I've already stopped playing D3.

I think he said he don't have interest in the games you talked about, desn't mean he is fully satisfied with this MP.
I would love to see new enemies and modes. I think the two new maps was a good add, as it was the gears and new chars, enough to rise my interest, and if the rumors are true, we will get more 3 maps. I hope for something more, but this is enough to keep playing.
I like the ME combat gameplay. I like the history too, but one of the reasons I replayed a lot ME1 and 2 was the combat. The MP give that, any moment, without the need of a new playthrough. I will stop playing when they decide to close the servers, or become really impossible to find a lobby..
