Also seeing Ocelot was a really nice surprise, very curious to know what he's been up to since Snake Eater and why he's seen possibly trying to rescue Big Boss.

So yeah, it's not a huge deal either way I guess... Hayter is my all time favorite though, with Snake being my favorite character in a game since I was like... 4.
But yeah, anyway, it's been 9 years. We're getting closer and closer to the point where Big Boss goes crazy. He's probably lost his Snake-voice by now.

The only way I'd be okay with not using Hayter would be if they used Richard Doyle, because anyone who's played MGS4 knows that Big Boss' voice broke apart from Hayter when Big Boss and Old Snake appeared in the same game (that had voice acting anyway).

Plus he kinda drops the Snake nickname in Peace Walker and with it, The Boss' bandanna, effectively embracing the Big Boss persona.
That and establishing Outer Heaven.

Yes indeed. Losing Hayter is sad, but it's not like it doesn't make sense. He's not Snake anymore.

Wow. Blew me away. Psycho Mantis? Revolver Ocelot riding in on The Boss' white horse. "Big Boss" riding EVA's motorcycle. Mother Base burning to the ground/sea. In-Friggin-Credible.
This game is going to blow me away, like MGS did, like MGS3 did, like MGS4 did, like Peace Walker did.

Well, it's highly likely that Solid Snake will at the very least appear. Granted he'll be 11 years old on account of Big Boss waking up from the coma in 1983. Him and Liquid.
The trailer hints heavily at the Les Enfants Terribles project being relevant in the storyline.

As for Hayter not voicing Big Boss anymore - Well, from what I gather GZ is taking place not long after Peace Walker (where he did voice him) so I don't understand how his voice can suddenly change like that. Unless of course Kojima has planned an elaborate surprise Solid Snake appearance, ala Big Boss' surprise appearance in Guns of the Patriots. All I know is that if Hayter doesn't do it, then let it be Richard Doyle for consistency sake. I hope it is not the last we've seen of Hayter voicing the Snake character altogether.

I know you can tell the difference between Doyle and Hayter, but that scene in MGS4 with Snake and BB together was pretty well done. Like, they sounded different, but Snake sounded like a son of Big Boss, for sure.
At least in my opinion.

FOX Engine, Foxhound, FOX vs XOF, Gray Fox.....can't be a coincidence right?
Also, Big Boss' new splinter group is called "Diamond Dogs". Fox and the Hound reference, anyone?

Lol, can you imagine Hayter trying to sound like an 11-year old?
"Kept you waiting huh?"
Hayter's voice would break, and Solid Snake would sound like he's going through puberty, I bet.

Why?
Akio Ohtsuka is still the voice of Big Boss in the Japanese version of MGSV.

So, was anyone else kinda surprised by that trailer music? It was different for Metal Gear. Not at all in a bad way though. I really liked it.

Nine years is a justifiable excuse within video game logic for the character to suddenly change voice... It could indeed be both!
I think that song fit surprsingly well. It was fast paced when it needed to be, subtle when it was apropos. Plus Metal Gear fanboys (myself included) broke the 'Like' button for the actual song on Youtube after the trailer, proclaiming "Kojima is God!" XD

pretty sure that kojima is trolling again, and that hayter is in on it
hayter to voice big boss during the prologue/ground zeroes, doyle to voice big boss after awakening from the coma/during the phantom pain, hayter to voice a young solid snake in a timeskip epilogue?
