Turian Soldier - Osp (Short for the nickname "Osprey". Goes hand-in-hand with Turian Sentinel.)

Vorcha Soldier - Bare Grylz (I'm terrible, but so is he)

Female Engineer - Mackenzie
Female Quarian Engineer - Teniq'Relias
Salarian Engineer - Dinab
Geth Engineer - Orion Pax (With a red and blue color scheme. WTB Energon axe.)
Male Quarian Engineer - Tar'Relias

Female Sentinel - Rachel
Turian Sentinel - Hosper (Derived from "osprey", goes hand-in-hand with Turian Soldier)
Krogan Sentinel - Urdnot Krux ("Crutch")
Batarian Sentinel - Ahab

All of my human characters are named after the original Power Rangers (including Tommy), and colored accordingly. That is the most creativity I've put in to their names.

The first 3/4 letters of their species/class

Asa/Asar
Kro/Krog
Sal/Sala
etc.

Except the Geth. Named them Hal and Archos, just couldn't resist

At first, I had given them English names, nothing much that is exactly linked to Mass Effect naming universe.

Then I got lazy and called them A, B, C, AAAAAAAAA, BBBBBBBB, and so on.

Now, I started named them according to their stats (66653, or 66066, around that line), followed by Power/Weapon/Melee, and a numeric number for repetitiveness. Slightly easier to keep track of their abilities for each characters I play.

I named my vorcha soldier Melt Party because I like to see the enemies burn and melt into electric ash or a pile of burnt flesh or molten metal. When I got my Phoenix characters, I ended up naming them after two Metalocalypse characters. I think the adept I named Toki and the vanguard Pickles. I suck royally at coming up with names for my characters.

...I dunno.
If I finally get a Geth I'll name it something cool,
But I still hate the Unlock system in MP

I do name mine, but now it is becoming a little tedious:

Some examples are from:

BSG - Helo and Starbuck
Aliens - Hicks, Drake, Vasquez
Planets - Mars, Saturn, Neptune

My Asari's are just named "Assassin" with a number after it.

I know it's pointless but I get a kick out of it. Plus it kills time waiting in lobbies sometimes.

EDIT: Well you've actually got 4 original and 1 replacement with Aisha there, but you're still awesome! Also forgot to ask "Kimberly or Kat", but you already answered that one.

Trini was the original yellow ranger not Aisha.

I've named all my infiltrators after spy characters: Same Fisher, Solid Snake, etc.
My vanguards after X-men.
The other classes are random names. I might promote just to theme them though.

Yeah, saw it last week, awesome movie. I thought the ATV looked kind of familiar, but I wasn't able to place it.


But the Halo/Aliens similarites were crazy
The entire time I was watching the movie I was either thinking of Halo or Terminator (of course the guy who played Kyle Reese has an 80's style pump-acktion shotgun)

Hate to nitpick but Aisha didn't come along until later with Rocky and Adam. Trini was the original yellow ranger. Although that Bulk and Skull idea made me lol.

I call my Drell Adept Amonkira. As in Amonkira Lord of Hunters, the Drell God.
My Vorcha Soldier is called Pain. My Batarian Soldier is Zero. My Krogan Soldier is OMEGA.
And my Geth Infiltrator is called Tron.

In the beginning I was really picky about choosing names for my chars. I always choose star/nighttime objects for names, then move onto greek/roman gods/goddesses.

Then after a few times promoting them, I couldn't be bothered naming them and just went 'ksjdhjsfhjs' numerous times as a short cut.

NOW that I'm paying more attention to builds and useability I name them for what they're good for or what they're specced for.

Asari Adept: Detonator
Asari Vanguard: Bomber
Geth Infil: Claymore
Female Q Engie: Fire'n'Ice

to name a few...

I need to get out more...
