Mine are variations of my handle with power-specific references. So Drell Adept = Ninereaves. Quarian Female Infiltrator: Ninehacks. Phoenix Vanguard: Ninesmashes. Etc etc etc.

When I saw that you could name your multiplayer characters, I assumed that they'd appear by name in the War Asset description in multiplayer when you promoted them, so I've named all of them. It's utterly pointless being able to name them as it is, so I give each class the same name when I start them from level 1 again.

My Quarians are called Qari and Aria. Probably gonna call my first male Quarian Rian.

I don't like choosing. So I just abbreviate the race/gender and put the class after. Luckily no race starts with the same letter so this works for everything. I.E.

Human Male Infiltrator = HM Infiltrator
Asari Justicar Adept = AJ Adept
Batarian Sentinel = B Sentinel
Etc..

It works cause otherwise I'm all OCD about the names, This method is boring, but requires no effort. And then your characters are named sdfjgiih and qwitjjkj.

I go the Perfect Dark route with some - MordinBot, LegionBot, TaliBot, ReegarBot

Others are NotThane, NotLiara, NotWrex, NotGrunt

Some are after the original Power Rangers. Others after super heroes like Tony Stark/Ironman, Wolverine

I usually coordinate the armor to at least somewhat resemble the character they're supposed to

And for characters that suck I usually give them names of people I don't like or various insults

Male Human Engineer is Spammy. Female is Spamela (slightly different power specs).
FQI is Motoko... Have her running with a scoped AP Mattock, wearing light purple, and busting tanks.
MQI is Jayne... I promptly gave him the biggest gun I had (Kishock, in this case).
Manguard is named Nutsy, appropriately.
Kroguard is Qiubai after the character Dugu Qiubai. Thought it was fitting.

And various others, all with about the same amount of reasoning behind them. I don't put a lot of effort into naming characters, but usually if I find something amusing that I like, I keep it around when I promote.

I mostly pick a letter of the alphabet per class and think of something to go with it. I do try to make the names sound like the races might actually use them.

Yep... named my phoenix adept "Ghost ride" (as in ... the whip)
