Besides, Liara is my LI in my canon shepard so I don't mind it at all ;D

Who the **** plays with strategy? I do, but that's because I have to plan Biotic Charges and such. You just spam the Soldier's class ability and breeze through things.

Adept over here. Liara + Absolutely anyone who's good against shields (Garrus, Kaidan, Tali) Is a beastly combination no matter what fallacies the game might contain. Also neither of my favourite squadmates have dead eyes.

Lets See...Liara:

-has the only recruit mission in ME1
-recovers shepards body
-the only squadmate that cant die (she can die at the end, but thats after any content she would be apart of, and its still unlikely)
-has a DLC devoted to her
-has a comic series devoted to her
-recruited early in ME3
-has the most dialogue in ME3
-the flashback at the end
-she has arguably the most plot relevance being the shadow broker The other being Tali.

Although, I kind of agree that Garrus is worse. As much as I like garrus, hes recruited early in all 3 games despite having almost no plot relevance.  Oh well. Its true though, no one ever ****es about him.

Ummm for a series thats loved so much because of the characters and is suppose to be charactar driven for the most part, yes. I was mad when I saw Liara in the flashback at the end instead of Tali.

I just find a fully evolved pull more useful than a fully evolved singularity.

Liaras cooldown for singularity is 2 seconds while Javiks Pull is 4 seconds.Both abilities are usefull,but Liara is the better biotic because of that.

Yes, Liara and Garrus get the most content. Luckily they're my romance and bromance respectively. So I really don't care.

Fatal...dev...flaw.  Disappointed too for same reason, but I don't think it was intentional.

Apparently Garrus was supposed to be recruited later on in ME2, that's why he's always going on about calibrations.

No one ****es because he's either your space BFF or your space husbando

I personally find it ridiculous that Garrus and Tali don't get as much hate as Liara for being writer's pets since they are too.

They are the only characters to be in the squad in all three games and Garrus is one of the characters with the most lines in the entire series (Liara is roughly the same, I suppose). Declaring Liara is a writer's pet because of plot armour is a trite argument seeing as the other characters can only die at very specific points in the series. It is also moot because Garrus ends up with just as much, if not more, content than the other possible kill-able characters. Liara's overuse in ME3 is only really because she is one of the few guaranteed squad-members still available, therefore has a lot of plot-related lines.

Complaints directed at her replacing LIs in the more personal moments shouldn't really be directed at her - it's more BW's fault that they couldn't be bothered to write up the lines rather than them specifically choosing Liara for the scenes.

I get some of the reasons why people are upset but jeez people take their dislike to seriously aggressive and offensive levels here.
