She's Walters pet and I can't stand it. In ME1, she helps you find Saren. In ME2, she helps you find the Shadow Broker. In ME3, she helps you find the deus ex machina. My Shepard died and the last thing he saw was Liara and not Tali? BS right there.

Edit: Also I think they should change her from adept to multitasker because she has way too many jobs over the course of the series just so Mac can shove her into the story.

Wait, you guys got through all three games and still thought SHEPARD was the protagonist?

Loonies.

What's wrong with some Talimancer and Liaramancer? Why do we have to fight ? My best friend is a Talimancer and we joke around a lot, he even asked me to make a scene with his custom Shep and Tali hugging on the Citadel and I'm happily do it for him.

We don't. Liara is my LI, but Tali is my close friend/little sister.

I'm just not romantically attached to Tali. I love her character though.

Note that I feel the same about Liara - she's my Shepard's friend. A stalker, very creepy at times, but a friend. She has a crush on my Shepard, so that's fine, let her be.

However, nobody can be objective and come here to say that Liara isn't the writer's pet. It's like saying that a green pin isn't green.

Considering that is a flashback version for both Kaidan and Ashley. I think this simply speaks of Bioware's laziness than favoritism.

She isn't a writer's pet. That term has very negative connotations.

Every story needs one or two characters that are used to move the story forward. In Mass Effect, this is Liara. It makes sense where she appears so I find it okay. And no, that isn't bias from me. I have playthroughs where I didn't romance Liara.

I've already said - her appearing as the last flashback if your LI isn't the VS is moronic. It was bound to anger people, and I don't know why BioWare did it.

Talimancers already got screwed over with that horrific photoshop, they could have at least have her appear in the damn flashback!

I get why people think Liara's presence is overdone, but I personally don't see it as that different to Alistair in DA:O. He has a greater presence in that game than other party members, and yet I don't see a lot of hate for him.

Well, If everyone like the same person there will be less couples and a lot fighting in the world. ;) Everyone has their own favorite character just deal with it ok? I like Tali too as a sister. My friend like Liara as a good friend.
I'm not complaining about Tali/ Garrus being a squadmate in all three games. I think they have more lines than Liara in the whole trilogy.

if you skipped Wrex or Garrus in the first one.. How does that affect meeting archangel in ME2? And Wrex on Tuchanka?

On Garrus - Shepard says something like 'Garrus Vakarian?' instead of 'Garrus, is that you?'
On Wrex - unfortunately, game assumes he died.

I guess Wrex dying would be the more convenient option for Bioware.

With Garrus, if the greeting is different does that mean everything he has to say is diffferent? Like no talk about 'the good old days?

I actually didn't recruit Garrus on my main playthough in ME1 and in ME3 his dialogue is all inconsistant because of it. Some of it is different (talking to Tali in engineering and before earth comes to mind). But then other times he makes mention of Noveria, Feros and Ilos like he was there even though he wasn't...

Anyway Liara is awesome, for me personally it was hard to hate her especially in ME3 she was just too cute and nice lol. Garrus on the other hand i'm not his biggest fan...

I also wish I could come into a topic without someone else bashing another character (that isn't even the topic!) for no reason heh. Never gonna happen.

How did you get Big Boss as your screenshot?

Any of you want to bet that there is no way to kill Liara in any of the 3 ME games because Mac Walters can't get over losing his little favourite character and he intends to make her appear as a matriarch in the next ME trilogy, ~1000 years later, taking advantage of the Asari's extended lifespan?

Marks my words and you shall see.

Low EMS with Collector base saved, bring Liara as a squadmate with you, she dies.

Control is the only option but that is okay since low EMS control does not blow up the milky way like low EMS destroy.

If I'm not mistaken, you use Dragon Age: Origins for PC, swapping one of your characters faces for an image (in the files), then select that image on here.

You can also use Dragon Age: Character Creator. Again, by creating a face, and then swapping the face file for an image.

In ME1 Wrex is the only character you can choose to skip, all the others are "forced".

As for Liara, if you don't like her, don't talk to her. Simple.

Alternately, If you don't like Liara, romance her...... She'll barely speak to you. ( I romanced Liara and every time I went to talk to her I got the " not now Shepard" type of response.

id say its because alistair was known to be the heir to throne from the start. that was the story and you could screw him over, kill him, force him to be king or make him realise that its his role. even your charscter can be king. liara on the other hand you can do none of. you cant even say you shouldnt be shadowbroker.

Because she could become the SB without Shepard's help. Alistar needs the warden's help.

Mainly because you can kill Alistair in a funny (but cruel) way and save Loghain. Can't do that with Liara.

But I think Liara is more like Anders in DA2. Both felt kind of forced as a romance and they are both have a big role in the plot even when there is nothing too special about them that makes them imprtant to the plot. And I say that as someone who liked Anders and romaced him.

Personally I want Liara's head on a pike, and to parade it around the Normandy. I ignored her in 1 doing her mission last, Was Brief and cold to her in 2(LotSB not included) and in the she is forced on me as a friend when All I want to due is chuck her out the air lock.

Exactly, when some Liara fapper in denial couldn't believe that his beloved Liara is actually disliked and tried to rig the votes, breaking the harmless little fun that everyone was having, and forcing the polls to stop. Typical brainwashed fan reaction. Only losers play dirty.

Please stop. Continue to support Tali, but you're losing all credibility saying things like this.

Tali wouldn't approve! :P

EDIT: Never mind. You seem to like to insult people. I wish there was a block button. <_<

I have a little dotjs script that hides the post nodes for names I’ve defined. Greasemonkey would work similarly.

Popular brainwashed response to what they've been spoonfed, with a ridiculous sample size.

But maybe you also agree that Justin Bieber is the greatest thing since bread came slice, or "numa numa yei" is one of the greatest hit of pop.

Tali is a little less liked than Garrus because all the Liara brainwashed fappers see her as Liara's rival and vote her down. Still remember the poll made here in BSN not long ago about who would they throw out the airlock, and Liara went down just after James and Kaidan.

I know you don't like it, but it's as it is. You Liara brainwashed mainstream people are just the herded sheep. Real people make their own choices.

Doing a good job of representing Tali fans.

Liara isn't my favorite, but I honestly have no problem with her role throughout any of the games.

In fact, I really like that character a lot and thought her trilogy-spanning arc was pretty fantastic.

Except for those times where you have no choice to interact with her, such as the beginning of the game, the Eden Prime mission, Thessia, and when she tells you about the Asari monastery.

I understand it's probably really old to hear people complaining about Liara, but it's not like you can actually completely ignore her in any of the games, so I am sure that point is just as grinding to the people who don't like her.

There are, like, 3 people in the entire world that genuinely don’t like Liara.

Then there’re about 8 billion who can’t correctly direct their justified anger about the mistreatment of all of the other LIs and, instead of banding everyone together to get ALL characters the storylines they deserve, they in very typical irrational human fashion start picking at eachother instead.

Crabs in a barrel.

I like you.
