In DA2, the romances felt a little forced and rushed or either too cold and distant. An example of "too forced and rushed" is with Anders, who called you "my love," after one night together. It felt a little more normal for a fling with Isabela to happen because that's kind of in her character, in a "get it out of my system," kind of way. But then when it was time for the romance to become something warmer, I felt as if the relationship was "left hanging," as she barely reciprocated anything romance-based beyond the bedroom.
You could say that Morrigan was the same but for some reason, It wasn't. She started off cold but because of that, when she said something warm, you could appreciate it greatly. Isabela didn't retain that unfortunately.
The Fenris romance was a little warmer than Isabela's but still quite distant. I'm not saying that the characters need to be all over each other all the time but it's just compared to Origins, where each character was fleshed out and each romance felt so real, DA2 fell under the bar.
For DA3, I don't think they can make romances feel real unless they allow us to
talk to companions on our own accord, rathar than the "Questioning Beliefs," opportunities to have a conversation with them. I'd like to see the option to ignite romances between two single companions or on the other hand: break up two companions who are together

. That would be fun. Oh oh, or convince one not to flirt back with the other companion - something like that would be hilarious.

Anyway, I'd like to see DA3 draw inspiration from the warmth in the DAO relationships. If they plan on making Leliana a DA3 companion but with the romance options from DA2, her character will be ruined.
