Too bad. Really. You should have one by now. It's been a few months and you haven't got even the krogan soldier or sentinel? Suck it up, you still have a couple days before it starts, just get one now.

Its not like certain characters you want are easy to unlock. Took me forever to unlock the Asari Adept and Justicar.

There are new players coming, so you're a bit unfair. But I agree, getting just one of those is a matter of few PSPs, if someone is willing to play like 3 or 4 hours during the weekend it should be np.

Sure the RNG system sucks, but if you play enough, you should have pretty much everything by now. I mean I play maybe a couple times a week since release and I've maxed my rares. It's really not that difficult. Only when it comes to ultra rares.

The biggest problem is probably that all the required characters are gold rarity. That would mean newer players who only buy low tier packs might not have them. On the other hand, it's not like they couldn't acquire one soon enough when there are so many eligible characters

If you put in 2 hours or so a week, you can easily have a decent amount of the characters and weapons after 2 months of the game.

I understand it's unfair to new players, but the statement is not really meant for them.

 Really, while it kind of sucks that the weekend event is so exclusive, I am not going to worry about it too much. It is ridiculously easy, and I've only ever been awarded one commendation pack, no matter how many times I do the event. I'll probably just plow through it on bronze with a few of my buddies, and then go back to playing like I normally do.

I mean, it sucks that some people won't be scoring a commendation pack (I guess) but it isn't  like those people are going to be stuck on the sidelines all weekend. Most of us will probably be done with this part before saturday morning.

for new guys its a problem

I suggest
-looking for help from experienced players [threads and groups]
-reading about FBWGG/geth farming [look it up on forums] and playing it extensively
-buying some amount of recruit packs [to max lowest weapons and rule them out of manifest
------------------------------------vet packs [to possibly get 1 of the desired characters [not sure if they are therebut you may try] and to rule out more weapons from manifest
------------------------------------premium specter packs [best bet for desired character but it takes around 40 minutes to get 1]

biggest problem here is the opposite of the problem that most of us have - getting weapons INSTEAD of character cards - 10 PSP packs can contain exclusively reegar and krysae....

The squad goal should be soldiers and sentinels so that everyone can play it.

in my opinion it hould be 1 or 3 vrcha/bat/krog characters and 1 that can use humans so we could carry people

Friend of mine joined the ME3 multiplayer about 3 weeks ago. Plays several games a night (Silver or Bronze, he knows he wont be good enough for Gold yet).
He took part in the last challenge and did his part, dozens of pizza box missions.
And rightly so, he's maxing out the recruit and veteran packs first to rank up weapons.

You can't get the rare characters with recruit packs and there is VERY little chance of getting them with veteran packs.

Why should new players be penalized for having bad luck with the store?
He's now going to be kicked out of every game he plays this weekend due to not having one of the characters, and misses out on getting a commendation pack. That's very fair.

Mission should have been all human males or females to mix things up a bit (how many all human teams do you see in Gold? How many all geth teams do you see?) And as all players have the human characters, everyone would be able to do it.

Alternatively, Bioware should have given all players who haven't unlocked any, a free character unlock.

Very poor weekend challenge IMO.

I just don't get BW's thought process here. Community goals should be about building the community, not about dividing the player base and turning your back on the newest players. I guess this is just one more way to get trolled by the RNG.

Tbh I rarely get charachter cards in my pack. I always get guns.

But on the lucky side I got both Vorcha, all Krogan and both Batarians.

But still missing the classes I would actually play like the Asari Justicar and the Phoenix guys.

People are sticking up for the "new" people and that it is "impossible" for them to finish the squad goal this week, because they are in fact SO new, that they don't even have a Vanilla Krogan.

May i remind you of the squad goal a few weeks ago where you needed a FULL extraction on GOLD?
How many BRAND new players finished THAT mission you think?

If you can't ALWAYS make the squad goal, you can still help in the community goal.

I would think the point in all of this is for them to collect data on the specific races that have been called for in this weekend's event.

If you don't have one, don't worry. They need a bit of work anyways...

I have all the soldiers, and sentinel (only krogan n vorcha, no krogan vanguard though) and I rarely play them once? Or twice maybe?
Maybe bioware knows that I almost never play them. O.O
