Unless someone started playing THIS WEEK, this is no reason you shouldnt have one yet. And if you don't, you aren't playing enough for it to matter anyway.

Been playing since launch, and i unlocked the asari adept only a few days ago.

I have my Kroguard, both Vorcha, and a BSoldier, so I'm all good. But thanks to the RNG, I still don't have either of the release Krogans. And yes, I have been playing almost every day since the UK release.

RNG is RNG. Don't be horrible to people who've been on the wrong end of it.

Oh, and newer players are less likely to be able to manage the high-level Gold playing that enables you to dismiss PSPs as easy to get.

Neither have I. (But technically, due to preorder mishaps, I've been playing since one day after release so...)

I've been playing for a couple of hours almost daily since the game came
out, and I have yet to unlock the original female Quarian Engineer
after all this time. Sometimes the cards just aren't in your favor.
Even harder for new people because they've added so many more classes
and weapons since the original release.

I haven't unlocked either of the QEs. Or the GE. Other than that, I'm only missing three Rebellion characters. It's a combination of only ever getting ultra-rares I don't use over the character cards I want, and the fact that I do other things besides play this game. (such as play Halo )

Been playing since the release.  Check my manifest.  It isn't complete by any means, but it is decent.  The reason people don't have them is because the store is completely RANDOM and nothing is guaranteed.

It means that we feel empathy & sympathy for those who don't.

I don't.  And others are voicing their concern because MP is a cooperative community and they want others to be able to participate. 

Missing a challenge should be my choice, not something forced on me because I have not been lucky with the RNG.

I only buy SP and PSP to get ultra rare weapons. But I think it`s been over 30 packs since I got a UR weapon. I only get car.cards. Seems to me they`ve really become ultra rare... So my tip to the new people is to save up for SP or PSP.

If you don't have one of the aforementioned classes, um, you have to play more which, um is exactly what BioWare would prefer.

I don't exactly see any mistake in their weekend goal. And if you were going to quit playing over one weekend's goal you couldn't make, you were going to quit over something small anyway. So, again, I don't exactly see any mistake in their weekend goal. In fact, looks pretty good from here, since you can extract on ANY level

Well, I only have 1 rare weapon not unlocked yet, so hopefully I can start getting some characters in the next few PSPs.

How many BRAND new players finished THAT mission you think?

If you can't ALWAYS make the squad goal, you can still help in the community goal.

The Gold challenge was a challenge of skill, and even newbies could participate and succeed if they got on a good team.  This is a challange of dumb luck, and even some experienced players still don't have day 1 characters.  Look at my manifest.  It is not complete, but I have some of the DLC characters, and most of the day 1, but none of the races required for this. 

It isn't whining it is voicing our concerns that BW is implementing a challenge that divides what should be a cooperative community. 

"You can't play because you don't have the right toy." is the position of school yard bullies.  not what should be a welcoming and cooperative community.

I really don't understand why it is so difficult for a few people to grasp the concept of RNG.

It doesn't matter if you have been playing the game since March 6th 2012, or even if someone buys a copy of the game today and starts playing. The store gives you what it gives you. That's it. End of.

A person could have logged 300 plus hours of the game already and won't be given any of the races from the store. Meanwhile someone could start today and get one of them within the Starter pack. That's how it is. Telling someone that "They should play more.", is not going to help.


I know at this point for those that don't have any of the races, the only thing they can do is to keep trying the packs. But some of the apathetic and condensending attitudes towards the people in the situation is not necessary.

yeah, I was about to shower, then I got onto forums. I'm sitting naked lol

i do that sometimes. i get caught up in internet stuff. i can't remember why i was naked an hour later.

also it seems like some people frequent these forums more than they actually play the game

I can post on the forum from work.  I can't exactly bring my xbox in. 

I bought 3 PSPs last night.  Got 5 weapons I don't use and a rare character I already had.  The store is completely random.  There is no guarantee I will ever get one.

Right on, I do the same thing on my phone at work. Anyway, the best way to get your character is play Golds for a few hours tonight and then spam PSP's, I had better luck getting characters in those before my weapons were maxed out. If you were a PS3 player, I would be happy to help you but alas, good luck.

Also, when you do play today/tomorrow, save all your credits from the games you play, then spam PSP's all at once, that tends to bring better streaks and hopefully you'll get it that way, I've had terrible luck buying single packs at a time.

On a side note, I do think it's a bit silly they never released a Rebellion pack before this event, that would have made sure this issue wasn't one imo.

I think the people unhappy with this Operation are missing the point of the Operation. Someone said it earlier, the squad goal was extraction on Gold. This mission isn't just doing a bronze mission. What makes this mission harder, is unlocking the requisite character for extraction.
