Great news about singularity overhaul. You might want to also give the Paladin a biotic power to make him a true sentinel. I don't know, lash instead of incinerate? Would that be over the top?

Are you willing to disclose if there are other significant changes (kits, powers) upcoming or should we wait n' see?

Can you give out any more info on the differences?
Currently Singularity is fairly terrible, so anything you can do to improve it is a positive ~ maybe it won't just be completely ignored by shielded/armored enemies, I guess. :D

but worst? no... you need to learn how to work around their many whip animations to not get shot down.
Since singularity acts as a trap, the only replacement for it would be stasis, which also triggers Biotic explosions, which is singularity and lash or smash's effect.


I think Cerberus Adept would work better if their singularity had a bigger effect radius... if not that, then the Adept needs something in the way of a defensive(Barrier) or crowd control(Stasis) ability.

That's good news!  Pull could probably use some love too while you're at it. :wizard:


I honestly don't see anything wrong with pull as it stands. The last buff they gave it was massive, and it is actually a viable power now.

Just a suggestion but I think you guys should give it an evolution so it can effect shielded enemies. Perhaps not being able to pick them up (Though that would be nice) but at the least it could keep pulling the enemies back to it. Downside could be duration decrease? It would make it a useful support ability.

The thing about the Cerberus Adept is that he doesn't NEED to set off biotic explosions against armored targets.  If you evolve it right, Smash is so ridiculously powerful against armor that you will probably do more damage spamming Smash than you would by firing primer-detonator-primer-detonator over and over again.  And bonus for you if you have another biotic teammate to set up explosions for you. 

Anyway, I agree - the Cerberus Vanguard is better than the Adept.  I could get behind a change to the Adept's skill set, but NOT because he has any problems with Armor.  I would support a change to give people a reason to choose the Adept over the Vanguard, because their skills are identical otherwise.  Reave would be too powerful, I think.  You can't really have people using Area Reave in combination with a multi-target detonator like Smash.  It would be like a Drell Adept with unlimited Cluster Grenades.  Warp would probably be the best bet.

Yes, they're changing Singularity! I always thought it was a little bland compared to the lore stating it was one of the more advanced, if not the most, advanced biotic powers. Tiny tidbits of information like this are enough to tide me over for quite a while. Hopefully, they'll keep feeding the community tiny scraps of info like this until they are ready to announce what they've been working on.

I think many people think similarely about Pull as they do about singularity. Are there future changes for Pull as well?

how long til this so called patch comes out? i think we've waited long enough! kinda wanting to move on from mass effect because of the lack of spice

This is a great idea! I think an additional option to this would be to have the DOT evolution (rank 3 I think) affect shields and barriers as well. That way if the DOT eats away all the shields, the enemy then begins to float about helplessly.

Maybe Singularity will actually cause enemies to be held closer together instead of randomly casting them all over the map.
