so singularity is gonna become a stationary lash... yeah that'd be cool but then you would need to buff lash ... or something... i just do not have faith as i once did in this game.. change this cause it sux, change that cause its not right... bioware you guys really ... need to just scrap this and make a me3.5 that is only MP, and fix all the broken **** b4 you put it out....

Wow the change sounds really exciting. I just wish we could get some sort of release estimate for the next patch. October? Early November?

Well it still won't be able to CC shielded enemies, which Lash can do.

Does this count armored shield, because that's the block for many of the gravity-based Biotic Powers, mostly because they can't setup

Which some armored units have both; I still find it strange that despite it being a more impact-oriented pull, Lash doesn't detonate on armored units

I personally like the idea of Barrier...give him a little more survivability, and would make builds for it much different than the smashguard.

Nevermind, buffing Singularity is a MUCH better idea!!

lol meh i read it wrong  i thought you meant sing. would work on shielded opp like lift wise, but if it primes shielded without lift... im confused as to how that would work.. but whatever

edit... yeah i feel special that i made a somewhat rude remark and still got a response... +1 for "turn the other cheek"... lol

I don't know about anyone else, but I am feeling very moist right now... I would play with the human Adepts and Pheonix Adept all day... And if it makes it to singleplayer, I will play with Liara all day...

Would one of the buffs for damage dealing happen to be a change that you get the detonate effect of evolution 6 every time the Singularity field dies, instead of only when it expires on it's own? Because right now that evolution is one of the most useless things ever.

singularity annoys me because it's so slow, though it's a lot more useful in solo. If I had to replace it with another power, I'd want lift grenades. Just for something different, not for any real reason.

Smash negates your qualms. Smash the powerful enemies and they die quick if you boost it properly, its one of my "go to" guys for Silver and higher...

Singularity to Lash for Biotic Booms.

Use the Geth Rifle with him if its at X or the Avenger X (which you should have), they are light and provide long distance fire to negate your distance issues with the Phoenix Adept... Or the Tempest/Cane if you have Lightweight mod as a backup close range weapon for him... Though SMASH obliterates everything at close range...

!!! So basically, an area warp effect on enemies that aren't trapped by it? This actually makes a lot of sense, as it will put it on par with some of the other "signature" powers we have - the Justicar's bubble can do both a warp effect and area damage reduction, the Fury's AF is an instant warp effect, stasis catches shielded enemies as well as unshielded, etc., etc.

I've been so ridiculously excited about this since I read your post in the middle of class (a class on big software practices, in a lecture specifically about what QA actually is and why you need them, what a coincidence).

Excellent to hear singularity will get the buff it deserves. It's always bothered me that singularity sucks, considering what an incredible thing a gravitational singularity is.

I know you can't be too specific because things could possibly change, but could you provide any more detail on this? Because that sounds like you're going to make it an AoE Warp along with its normal ability to hold shield/barrier and lift health.

Singularity was great in Mass Effect 1, but its tiny range and limited scope have left me totally unimpressed in 2 and 3, especially in multiplayer. I look forward to seeing the skill be useful again, but I'm curious what's being done to make it useful without making it just like skills we already have.

Make it does DOT to all enemies in the area, including shielded and armored enemies. Also give it a slow effect to shielded enemies that also sets them up for BE. Singularity will never be able to detonate any BE nor prime armor targets for BE so these changes will not be OP, thus HA and CA will still be a bit less powerful than AA and Fury that detonates BE whenever they like.

Also make singularity affects enemies the entire duration of the skill instead of just 6 seconds. This is never OP because Pull can be spammed and lift any number of enemies anywhere, while Singularity only has one instance.

Rank 6 evolutions are unhelpful at best because both requires the singularity to die itself out to be useful, which clashes with the spammability of the skill. Perhaps both evo need to be changed but that will require a patch, so here's a better suggestion:

Rank 6 evo 1: Give it much bigger expand, and also give it stronger DOT as time passes.
Rank 6 evo 2: Give it 1500 damage within 7m. This is not OP since you need to wait 25 seconds for it to die. Or leave this evo as it is but reduce the singularity duration from 25 to 10 seconds so it dies faster. No one leaves the singularity for longer than 10 seconds anyway.
