Pretty much this. Implement the ingame votekick option with automatic saves after objective waves.

But seriously, people kicking over highscore? Never seen that. I mean, in all other games I've played, I've seen people kicked for being bad, AFK, leeching, griefing, but kicking people for being good? Lolwut. Never saw this on PC.

I've never been kicked from gold for high scoring, but I have been kicked from bronze and silver (the former only played for 2-4 games when starting from scratch with a level 1 character) when my only offense seemed to be topping the scoreboard.  On bronze of course it's super easy to do.  On silver I assume during the match that the rest of the team is just bad when it might turn out that they're just trying to improve - me coming in and putting the team on my back (doing every objective, killing every boss, etc.) is less helpful in that situation.

Don't forget the people who claim that they are "trolling farmers" by going to odd areas of the map and (probably) getting killed. That is effectively leeching.

It really makes sense at times to be kicked for a high score on bronze. If a player is that much better or has much better equipment or both and dominates a game it can be not fun for the other players.

And as usual I always add the point that you would have to always see how a high score player played the game. There are a 101 reasons to kick a high score player if they are not being team players.

Does this count as leeching?

Just today some jerk literally and very overly blatantly stole a kill. Now, I can understand incidental kills of each others targets but this incident takes the cake and is clearly malicious with intent to steal. I had a pyro in a silver mission down to 1 bar from charging heavy melee and melee. Then this parasite swoops in at the last second and takes my kill. Nothing around me. There were no other enemies, I was not suffering or in dire danger. There were plenty of other enemies around further away. So what is his excuse? He is a jacka*s?

It is a TEAM GAME! Stop getting wrapped up on you score. It happens all the time to many players. Just shrug it off and go back to killing those pesky Hunters!Image IPB

I do that all the time. though I actually try to fight and help with objectives. It's my own playstyle.

Other players can't see how much health you have left. No one else can tell if you're suffering or in dire danger, Pyros are dangerous, and the guy could have just thought you were in a bad position and was trying to lend you a hand. If you had been in danger, and he didn't take that shot, and you died while he just stood there watching, would that also make him a jackass?

@ Xeraphas.

Perhaps the other player disliked Pyro's. I know I do. See a Pyro, hit the damage buttons hard and fast.

Personally on Silver I prefer if a team mate errs on the side of caution and blasts an enemy than faffs around and worries about "kill stealing". Dead enemy = Alive player.
