People are probably gonna accuse me of white-knighting here, but whatever.

EDI getting a new body wasn't so much an issue for me. She finds a new way to help the crew and by being more of a 'person' she learns new things about humanity. I can dig that.

I do understand it when people say her new body is stupid, however. It is highly sexualised and seems to make the whole Romance angle a little juvenile and shallow. (Not to mention the cursed camel-toe).

So how would you change it? If you could take any woman from real life or fiction and have EDI look like her, who would it be and why? Assume she still has the same voice and 'synthetic' appearance, but her face and body shape alter.

I would suggest a young Sigourney Weaver. Might be slightly obvious a choice what with her sci-fi connections, but I truly do admire her. She helped define strong female characters in Alien and she continues to be a respected Hollywood figure. Not only that, but she did it without looking like a stereotypical supermodel bimbo and instead looked right for the parts she was in whilst still looking attractive.

That's what EDI needed to be. Strong and feminine, not over-sexualised.

Any other suggestions?

It frustrated me a bit, how over-sexualized she was. Same with Miranda. Miranda can't wear something else that isn't so gorram skin tight? Also, the constant butt shots. Really, Bioware. I get it. It was funny the first time, but now its just disrespectful to the character. I was really hoping to see Miranda in a different oufit. A little more... modest and respectful to herself.

I was fine with the design, personally, but I can see how it may have been a bit "over the top".

In all honesty, the cameltoe inclusion was the worst thing about her design (thankfully it wasn't in her defaut appearance). Who thought that was a good idea in the first place?

That's actually a good idea. After all, it makes sense that EDI should be able to have more then one platform.

My god thank you. Someone with an actual suggestion.

This is a question of characterisation.  People thought she was over-sexualised. Fine. So if you could change her, who would you have her look like? Simple question. Demonstrate who you think would fit the mold of her character better.

I didn't ask 'should she have stayed as the computer or not.' I did not ask for something you'd find in a dodgy fanfic. It's a question about image and characterisation and a fairly simple one at that.

I am ok with her look in general, but would be even more ok if they decreased her boob size by half and got rid of that ridiculous robot ******. As far as completely alternate appearances, I agree with Jijeebo's preference.

And if I ever play through the game again...she'll have to remain in a default outfit.
