3 time uninstalling NWN 2 this evening.

Order:

install NWN 2, then MOTB, then SOZ. After that game becomes 1.20.1541

I have these patches in order:

nwn2_pcx2_englishvofix_from1201541_to1201541.zip
nwn2_pcx2_english_from1201541_to1211549.zip
nwn2_pcx2_english_from1211549_to1221586.zip
nwn2_pcx2_english_from1221586_to1221587.zip
nwn2_pcx2_english_from1221587_to1221588.zip
nwn2_pcx2_english_from1221588_to1231763.zip
nwn2_pcx2_english_from1231763_to1231765.zip

Problem  1:

if i paste all of the patches, the updater does not run VOFIX, it goes for 1.21.

Problem  2:

if i remove all the patches, the updater asks for

NWN2_MODFIX_FROM100788_TO105912.ZIP

Why on earth nobody in this forum mentioned anything about

NWN2_MODFIX_FROM100788_TO105912.ZIP that is required before the VO FIX?

What i am supposed to do?

I can not install this CRUCIAL VOFIX 1.20, because the updater does not recognize it and for some reason goes for 1.21. Or it demands the MODFIX, which is not even in IGN vault. Double problem - no solution.

This can not be..

Please somebody, do something!

Looks like the only fix is not to install SOZ, and after installing MOTB, update the game to 1.23

With SOZ installed, this voice problem still has not been fixed.

All patches:  nwvault

Also, see post 4 here:  tech faq

Once you get everything installed properly, you may have to address your sound problem separately... but having a clean install can only help.

When I have to install from disc I install NWN2 OC, MotB, then patch, then install SoZ, then patch again. In this blog post I list the specific patches I download and install (in this specific case within a Wineskin). I normally use the autopatcher feature though and haven't had any issues.

Sorry to hear you are having such difficulty. I'm sure you will get it working.

Regards

You don't need this file, it is used after updating to 1.05912 (at/near the time MotB was released).  If you install SoZ, you're already at 1.20, as you mentioned.

Looks like you want "nwn2_pcx2_modfix_nx1_from1211549_to1221587.zip".

I have always installed NWN2, MotB, Soz, then I update using the following files and have never had a problem (XP/Win 7).  Put all of the update files in the intall direcory, at the same time.

Here's the list of files (from here)

nwn2_pcx2_englishvofix_from1201541_to1201541.zip
nwn2_pcx2_english_from1201541_to1211549.zip
nwn2_pcx2_english_from1211549_to1221586.zip
nwn2_pcx2_modfix_nx1_from1211549_to1221587.zip
nwn2_pcx2_english_from1221586_to1221587.zip
nwn2_pcx2_english_from1221587_to1221588.zip
nwn2_pcx2_english_from1221588_to1231763.zip
nwn2_pcx2_english_from1231763_to1231765.zip

Note:  Just for peace of mind, the correct name for the file you were looking for was "NWN2_PCX1_MODFIX_FROM100788_TO105912.zip", indicating it was to be used when only NWN2 and MotB are installed.
