Hey, if my max EMS-destroy-Shep lives, re-unites with everyone and every one can go back to their war ravaged words and some insight to what exactly my actions did to the universe, hell I'll be happy.
Tall order I know, but when you are served a glass half full...
Toss in some "high EMS protects the geth and EDI too" and you have a deal

This will make a ton of people happy. Not everyone, but many.

In this case they probably made a lot of cutscenes, which play depending on your choices

1.9GB? That's a lot of cut scenes.
If you listen to the interview, Casey actually said they had to make it fit since the Xbox only has a 2.0GB limit download. O.O
They probably had more but had to cut it down? That sucks, especially since I'm on Xbox for ME too. <.<

Are you sure? Because I'm worried that the game actually will read that save as "Postcampaign" or something.Saiyan1126 wrote...

Very sorry if this has been asked already but I really didn't want to sift through eight pages to see if it was. In the FAQ it said to load a saved game before the attack on the Cerberus base. After you complete the main campaign, you are automatically returned to the point the game just before the last attack.
So, is that the game we can load or do we actually have to back and load the original save game before that last attack?
You're safe to use the save after the final mission. It was Bioware's way of saying it was all a dream

I'm really excited. If this turns out bad I'm going to be disappointed, but I have so much hope right now...

lol who needs to waste his time downloading 2 GB of "hell-knows-what" when we have Youtube.
This! And why wasting time playing, only to be disappointed again. Looks like they changed nothing.
Explanation looks like
- squad retreated because of Hacketts command
- fleet retreated because of Hacketts command
- star child stays
- circular logic of star child stays
=> bull**** stays
Expecting nothing, waiting for youtube!

The idea was that people post unreasonable replies. You actually make sense. We can't have that.makenzieshepard wrote...
I hope this works out well. The size and some of the brief glimpses from the screenshots and photos of the variable table are a good sign but there is one thing that Bioware refuses to acknowledge.
The ending was bad.
That's not really arguable by anyone but Bioware apologists or those just looking to be contrary. Yes we want more closure but the whole "our fans just couldn't let go" theory is hogwash. Introducing the Catalyst in the last 5 minutes with a few lines of dialogue will never work, the only thing adding more line and questioning the catalyst can do it polish a turd. A shiny turd is better than a dull one, but it's still a turd. Plus the host of other issues detailed in this thread and others.
And based upon the interview it doesn't seem like this has been radically changed or altered in any way, except for the closure issue and showing war assets in action. If it is I will gladly come back here on Tuesday and eat every helping of crow offered to me. You might ask what I expect them to do and my honest answer would actually be 'Nothing, but it would restore a lot of faith if they just admit they screwed up.' Internet bluster aside about holding the line and never buying from Bioware again people can be very forgiving so long as lessons were learned from mistakes made. But if Bioware can't even acknowledged that they were at fault and continue to claim that it's only because fans want "MOAR" then they've missed the entire problem. That is what is more worrisome than anything else so far.

From the splash page:
"To experience the Extended Cut, load a save game from before the attack on the Cerberus Base and play through to the end of the game."
Soooo... what if you don't have a save before then? I specifically saved at three points on Earth in anticipation for the Extended Cut (at the beginning, right before the final battle where you launch the missiles, and on the Citadel).
I'd rather not play through the entire game yet again, trying to replicate my decisions.
I loaded my game the other day just for the hell of it and the Normandy is already sitting next to TIM's base. It's the post game save status.

I hope for the best. I'm not sure they can fix the star child stuff, but if I just ignore that and focus on what actually happens with my decision, I will be probably be satified.
I also want to thank Casey and Mac for speaking on it. I think they needed to do that podcast. Glad they did.
Finally, I honestly believe, and I've said this before, people will forgive a lot if they get their "blue babies" kind of ending. And I still believe it to be true.
I'm not expecting the ****storm to go away, but I am curious as to how the majority reacts. Although the IC people are probably going to be disapponted. But I gave up on the IC theory a while ago. But we shall see on Tuesday.

Heck, this is all I ever wanted in the first place. I'm down for that, here's hoping that's what we get.
