1.9GB? That's a lot of cut scenes.
If you listen to the interview, Casey actually said they had to make it fit since the Xbox only has a 2.0GB limit download. O.O
They probably had more but had to cut it down? That sucks, especially since I'm on Xbox for ME too. <.<
i hope thats not the case...

This is a bad idea and most likely most of them will still be mad in one way or another based on expectations alone.StElmo wrote...
Awakening on HTL, don' know who he is on BSN, created an event for a cool idea to get people to film their reactions to the extended cut:

I don't have faceook, so I can't join, but it's a neat idea and I'm gonna do it anyway.
Hopefully you don't want to kill the Reapers based on your Shepard would be comitting genocide.iakus wrote...
Pretty much.
"Reunion without genocide" That's the minimum I'm willing to settle for in EC.
Yet Indoctrination has always been a theme in the ME series and obvisously the Reapers would say the opposite based on how they don't want to die.Saiyan1126 wrote...
I don't wanna revive the dead IT, but that was clearly switched. There is NO way TIM is a paragon and Anderson is a renegade.
If you're that worried about the EMS then you should pick up Infiltrator or the Datapad app.Squallypo wrote...
apparently the EMS has been fixed so you wont have to do Multiplayer i think?
There are a lot of Bioware hints in ME3 that would say tha Shepard is Indoctrinated, which is why people started talking about the IT in the 1st play.ThaneKriosIsBoss wrote...
But if nothing is fundamentally changed, then that means the ending still doesn't make sense, right? So in order for the ending to make sense, does that mean the Indoctrination Theory may actually be true?
I guess Epic got special treatment with "Raam's Shadow", but either what would you expect from a lot of high resolution cut scenes.Crysis I wrote...
looking forward to it although after the extended cut audio pod cast "it was hard for us to fit it all in for the 2gb download limit for xbox" that don't sound good
You do know that Summer just started 3 days ago in North America and Bioware did give a basic Summer answer for the EC's release, which means you don't need to use a conspiracy card..Nefla wrote...
Is it me, or is it super weird that they only announce the release date and information 5 days before the release? I'm not getting my hopes up, but it will be nice to finally be able to move on one way or another.

True enough, Nefla. I am rather indifferent at this point. I'm glad to see this sooner than later but it doesn't get me all that excited. I've already moved on, so to speak.
I hope the EC puts to rest alot of the discontent in these forums but I have a sneaking suspicion the rage will continue and personally, I think it's become tiresome. As much as it hurts to let go of the feelings I once had for this franchise, there are other gaming challenges that now hold my attention. I will play the trilogy again, but in no hurry to do so. I'll wait for the player reviews and maybe even future DLC before making any more judgment calls.

No offense, but it really irks me when people say things like this.
I'm not a multiplayer person, and probably don't have a decent enough internet connection for it even if I did. And I don't have a smartphone, and given my economic situation right now, I probably won't be able to justify buying one anytime soon.
I should be able to get all endings just by playing the frigging single player game that I wanted and that I PAID FOR ORIGINALLY, not by having to buy extra crap.

Why would it irk you when you have a lot of options to get a higher EMS whether or not your aren't a Multiplayer fan or have a smartphone. Btw everyone was warned by Bioware before ME3's launch that a small amount of multiplayer play would give you the required EMS to get one of the "perfect" endingsDWH1982 wrote...

Anyway, moderately irrelevant now, since Priestly announced today that the issue has been resolved, and that the so-called "best" ending no longer requires 4000 EMS. It just annoys me that a predominately single player franchise ever required multiplayer for any ending.

I remember being told when multiplayer was announced that it WOULDN'T IMPACT THE SINGLE PLAYER GAME.
We'll have to what and see while there could still be mis-interpretation here as well, which isn't anything new with that happening with Bioware.DWH1982 wrote...

I bold it for you, I don'tt want to have MP crap infecting every single game and certainly not after I paid €90 for it.
The EMS was clearly another blunt force attempt to force the players to do what they want. They promised that MP wouldn't intrude into the SP game and it did.
The bunch of Lying _____________
I'd say more but it might hurt the mods feelings.

I'm not bold but you shouldn't be using smoke and mirrors especially if you sturn up unneccessary trouble. Its not my fault that a small amount of MP can give you enough EMS to get the full amount. Bioware warned us about a small amount of MP play for that, which seems you didn't see the large amount of articles about that. Btw its not Bioware's fault for adding options to add more gameplay experiences from Infiltrator and the Datapad app.sparkyo42 wrote...

Citation needed. I don't recall any articles stating that. Quite the opposite, they insisted that there was no single player content that required multiplayer to achieve. Which turned out to be, umm, "less than accurate"
Re: apps And having to spend more money to gain access to content in a game I already bought and paid for is...yeah, that can't be descibed in a way that the mods would appreciate...

1.9gb is a huge amount of content. I am thrilled to see that Bioware made a lot of unique content and cinematics to show the consequences of all the choices and permutations throughout the trilogy. I expect that these choices and consequences will be depicted in depth, which is why the file size is so large, despite the player only getting to see a small bit of the total EC in one playthrough.
Thanks Bioware for the EC! I can't wait to play it!
A++
100% agree. Bioware well done you have redeemed yourself and won back a customer. I too look foward to the huge depth added to the endings with this 1.9 GB update. Kudos.

Chris did say they fixed it for EC.
Though, not really something to be assured.
Though, then again.
They might just not show that lame "Shepard breath" Easter egg scene with EC, or just lower amount of EMS for it.

Extended Cut FAQ says...
The Extended Cut is an expansion of the original endings to Mass Effect 3. It does not fundamentally change the endings, but rather it expands on the meaning of the original endings, and reveals greater detail on the impact of player decisions.
And that alone is why this thing is a massive waste of time, is going to fail and just illustrates that you guys haven't learned and aren't really listening at all.
Also, you guys were seriously "incredibly proud" of ME3?!
Wow, just... wow...
I can't believe the team is proud of such half-assed mediocrity that's almost nothing like it was promised to be. So linear, so lacking in choices and options, so lacking in dialogue and roleplaying and so lacking in meaningful consequences. I just fail to see what there is in ME3 to be proud of. Even if you completely ignore the ending, ME3 was a poor effort and bad sequel.

He did say that. But that still remains to be seen, as we were told months before release that multiplayer wouldn't be needed at all for the single player game either. It was simply an "alternate method" We'll have to see what the truth is this time as well.
As to the breath scene, if they didn't "expand" that into a full fledged ending, then Bioware really has completely lost touch with it's customers.

Among these 2 gigs there's gotta be at least some good material, but yes, I'm still sceptical.
