"To experience the Extended Cut, load a save game from before the attack on the Cerberus Base and play through to the end of the game."
Soooo... what if you don't have a save before then? I specifically saved at three points on Earth in anticipation for the Extended Cut (at the beginning, right before the final battle where you launch the missiles, and on the Citadel).
I'd rather not play through the entire game yet again, trying to replicate my decisions.

I believe the post game save picks off right before the cerberus raid. So if you don't have a save, quickly, before the EC is released, complete the games again to get into post-game so you have access to the cerberus mission.

Beat the game and it'll bring you right back to the part before the Cerberus base.

Still not expecting much when still there's "closure" as one of the talking points and not some of the more, IMO, pressing matters when it comes to immersion.

1.9GB of ultra-compresed crappy encoded 720p .bik video files but...
WANT.
You just reminded me of that BW uses Bink video player for there cutscenes in all ME games, and i have the player to play them.
So if EC is in a folder with all new stuff being bink playable, i'll just play them via the player and then later watch it with sound on, on YT.
Oh how i <3 BW now

And Javik isn't even using the Particle Rifle. I am disappoint.stysiaq wrote...
Tali is holding N7 Eagle, the weakest gun, on the wallpaper. This can't end well.
But seriously, I'm excited! The long wait is over, and it looks like it will be a substantive addition. Almost 2 gigs is a lot of content, especially if it's compressed, which it probably is. Good show old chaps!

The when completing the game, you'll be taken back to the point before the cerberus base, so if the alternative is playing through the entire game, I know what I'd do.awalloftext wrote...

Once u beat the game you can reload back before the cerberus base
If you load "the Return" now you can play through the ending - as is - and then after the credits you will load at the galaxy map before the Cerberus base.
Save then

Finally we get to hear from Casey and Mac. They completely dissapeared after the game released.

1.9 gigs? Either that's a bulky extension to the ending or very uncompressed content. Or maybe some degree of both.

I only have a 20 ****ing gigs harddrive.
And downloads are real ****ing slow for me, this **** is staying there for life.
