Well gift giving seems to a terribly important way of winning over people and cementing alliances in Feralden.

Yet no one, well almost no one--has ever given my character a freely given gift .  Possible expections-- a little something from Alistair, once  in the romance plot; dog bringing me things now and then.

The Alistair gift show that characters can store things away, but a bit meagre given everything I have showered on him.

So anyone alse ever gotten a gift?  From whom and under what circumstances?

You get a "gift" from your romance option.

Yeah, you can get gifts. You just need to be doing it and doing it and doing it well, to quote some 90's slowjam hip hop wisdom.

I gave Alistair countless action figures, and all he gave me was a silly flower.



Dog brought me a veridium stick, a ball of yarn, and a cake. Otherwise, no gifts from anyone.



I guess it makes sense since as party leader my character grabs all the loot and allocates it as she or he sees fit. They can't give me anything because everything we loot already belongs to me!

Morrigan, a ring, while romancing her. Only gift I have received so far, but you can end up with 2.



I guess it's more of a your the leader and their loyalty is gift enough unless you don't give them gifts and they get pissy and leave.



I want presents too, like a monocle.

Question-do you give your best equipment to your companions?
Question-do you only ever kiss/sleep with your one love interest?
Question-what did you do with the "rewards" given to you for completing quests...considering, usually, three other people helped you in that task?

In some respects, can't really see the ones whom don't give you a gift, giving you such. Although if I remember rightly Oghren does to some extent give you a drink during a conversation which the PC then drinks there and then. Leaving just Sten (very unlikely), Shale (pigeon crap!) and Wynne (free rez's? lol)

I think the obvious answer is that you just aren't charasmatic enough to get be showered in gifts like your companions are.... I mean you give them presents to make them like you more, so you must be suffereing from some sort of emotional complex where you feel the need to buy other's affections and they just don't feel the same need to do the same to you.....

Zevran gives you an earring if he falls in love with you, and someone already mentioned Morrigan's ring... Come to think of it, I think Leliana's the only romance option who doesn't give you any gifts. Huh.

Aside from Dog, I can't think of any companions that give you stuff if you're not romancing them. Ingrates. <_<

Only gifts I know of:

- Dog finds things if you ask him to.

- Morrigan gives you an equitable ring so you can track each other if romancing her.

- Alistair gives you a useless rose if romancing him.

- Oghren lets you drink some of his homemade acohol.

I never understood this cause he's allready at 100%....lol can you actualy ****** him off?


Oh and I still haven't in 4 play throughs romanced Zeveran cause I tend to play Rouges or use Lei more than him.  I think this play through with my female Delish Rouge I might just do so after I get Lei in the sack.

But you know what I want?

A freakin' hug once in a while, or a handshake and a friendly smile from the chaps.

I bust a gut saving these guy's lives and gererally being an allround good egg, and either they want to have sex with me, or we are just mates.
