Here's an easy solution for those that would like the "Violent" voice set, were it not for the "ladder" comment: http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=867

No more ladders. :wizard:

As for voice sets, I liked the female sultry set for my elven mage - After a battle, with corpses lying around in pools of blood, and heads chopped off, I'd click to loot a body, and she'd go "Lovely!" in a sweet voice.

Never got tired of that.

The sultry female voice set is different for dwarfs, less sweet, and I really didn't care for it that much - for female dwarfs, the "cocky" set is better.

This may sound ignorant, as it is: How does one load a mod?

Some mods are installed just by extracting the files you download to a specific override folder.

For example, the mod that I linked to has to be extracted into:
..MyDocuments\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Packages\\core\\override

The mods usually have installation instructions in their "description" page, or an included "readme" file, though sometimes those instructions are quite lacking, assuming you generally know how to install mods. (Like the mod I linked to - it just tells you to "extract into your override directory" without pointing out where to find the directory.)

Most mods are installed in this basic way though:
1. Download the mod into some directory you can find later
2. If the file has a ".dazip" ending, run the program "daupdater.exe" that you can find in the directory "...\\dragon age\\bin ship\\"
3.Click "Select DAZIPs", and browse to the directory you saved the mod in and select the mod.
4. The mod should appear in the list in the open window. Select it, and click "Install Selected"

That's it.

Some mods come with a ".zip" or ".rar" extension, and then you generally have to open them using a software like winzip. These usually come with their own instructions though.

I know this thread is ancient, but if I found it looking for help, others might too.  Thanks to the people many months ago I was able to change my voice set.  (So if you see this, thank you!)  For others who happen to wander by, I did put the instructions into a tutorial with step by step illustrations.   Tutorial

Personally, I had absolutely no problem changing my female elven warrior's voiceset from Wise to Sultry with the Toolset. For anyone who has messed with saved game files with the Toolset, you'll find two entries refering to your character's soundset. Change those to whichever voice you'd prefer, and voila. Of course, it won't affect your character on any other saved games, but you'll be fine if you stick with that one save, unless you want to mess with the other saved games.
