No, I know this is the MP and some people that play MP don't always care about the story but ME 3's MP is still connected to the story (and I am not talking about just getting your galactic readiness score up). Our MP characters are still fighting in the same war Shepard is and in ME 2 the collectors were destroyed and they need to stay that way.

Not all the collectors were destroyed in ME2 Check the miracle on palaven codex entry

Those were collector swarms, not actual collectors.

The collectors were only using tech that was provided to them by the reapers.  Oculus drones also made an appearence in ME 3 and we fought one during the SM.  Just because the reapers are using tech the collectors used doesn't mean the collectors are still around.  Especialy considering the tech the collectors were using was just reaper tech anyway

Collectors were made by reapers the reapers could make different collectors using a different species

Herp derp, those would just be husks, marauders, what have you.

Collector were Prothean husks, stop trying to work around one of the biggest things in the ME universe (The protheans being completeley wiped out), Javik is an exception since it's a squadmate in SP, but not putting the entire point of ME2 to waste.

how do you know ALL THE COLLECTORS were at the collector base when you destroyed it is it not possible some remain

My god some people are stubborn mother ****ers,
It is implied that the remaining collectors after the prothean cycle all inhabited the base in the galactic core, even if all of them weren't in the base, they would be scattered with no way of reproducing without protheans (which are all DEAD) and would have no where near as many units of the factions you fight in multiplayer.

I'm done trying to make a point to you since it goes in ear and out the other, just don't expect collectors so you won't be dissapointed.

Collectors will happen if they want to keep the mp fresh they could always set it in the past and have the readiness rating not go up to satisfy to butthurt lore people

I just hope this happens, completely viable to have Collectors as MP enemies.

As for people saying "Bioware threw the lore out for the Ardat-Yakshi" it's been confirmed that the Banshees were made from Ardats and Asari with Ardat potential genes like say Samara, all of her kids were Ardat-Yakshi.

Collectors break lore? lol

Fights Geth on firebase thessia with a team of quarians & geth.

Ah yes "lore"

Look at me3's ending & ask BioWare if lore matters.

That's beside the point! Collectors(and Protheans) don't have to break lore. Lore is a fallacious argument, get over it.

Meh i don't know.

I think Indoctrinated Blood Pack would be far more enriching.

Lots of Vorcha as base infantry and snipers, Armored Krogan being the equivalent of Geth Pyro (or even with the Revenant, acting as mobile turrets), packs of Varren and perhaps Klixen as master unit.

And let's see how the N7 teams handle all that melee brunt.

If they're going to break lore why not just fight the Covenant? Plenty of different enemies to fight there.

so you believe that ALL THE COLLECTORS WERE DESTROYED just like all the protheans were extinct OH WAIT JAVIK

Yeah, 1 collector will be such a challange. Though Collector's base map would be nice, and it wouldn't collide with the lore.

"After Shepard destroyed every living collector in their base (not the base itself), we need to send N7 forces to protect what's left in the base from attacks of reaper and cerberus forces. Assuming that Shepard hasn't freed Geth from reaper's control yet, you can expect all kinds of enemies"

Why keep people saying Collectors are all dead? We don´t know that an for sure and it is very likley that some Collectors are still alive somewhere. It´s a big galaxy, you know.

I haven't read the whole discussion since 11 pages are a bit too much. I have played all Mass Effect. Twice. And I enjoyed the hole story, including the end of ME3. But the Collectors would be very interesting to play against. And if you think that it does not fit with the story, think about the Geth.
[SPOILER]
The Geth became my allies in SP. But nobody is complaining about fighting Geth in the Multiplayer.
[spoiler ends]
So, I think Geth are much more out of context than the Collectors.

Look at it this way...

Add Collector's as enemy.

Call it "Collector's Mode" and consider it non-canon.

Case solved.
