Here are a couple of recent announcements from TOR..

The first is about the upcoming changes to Crew Skills, Adaptive Social Gear, and more:

http://www.swtor.com...game-update-1.3

Also noted -

Adaptive armor doesn't change durability because we're updating all armor to use the same durability values around 1.4.

And SWTOR will be at the San Diego Comic-Con and a couple other Cons soon:

I have yet to re-sub to TOR untill 1.3 comes out. What makes matters worst is when you ran through all the storylines. There is generally not enough to do. Not talking about END GAME but as in just open world PVP or events like Guild Wars 2 or Rift has.

I have played the game since beta. I have 3 50's and almost a 4th when I stopped myslef before the transfers and thought better to wait untill 1.3. The grind to level up the way I want "extra boost in legacy won't come till 1.3" well..by then I will already have most my ALT's boosted up to max.

Legacy doesn't carry over to the republic side. So I have to start all over. What's use to me are all the legacy perks when I have re-start the entire system over again? ..as for TOR I loved some of their story lines. Yet that game has an empty alone feeling.

I played in the Guild Wars 2 beta and I really enjoyed that game. In beta that game is great and instead of normal model 14.99 a month. You pay for extra perks which may exceed the 14 dollars price easily, and make more money.

I just was really diss-pointed in the expansion. I thought that would feature advances on our companion SL or our main. It features new maps, a new companion which is really an old they removed in beta on the Empire SL. I just feel they really cut back and hyped it up as more.

I can't help but think that so much time and effort could be saved if they just make a damn appearance tab for this game.

Cannot compare to other MMO's, but am curious as to your Legacy troubles. My Trooper and BH Merc were both able to use Legacy perks from my Sith Sorcerer (eg; class buff, Unity, etc). Or are you ref other possible legacy perks?

Currently there is a .50 cent per day cost, but Bioware is looking at other possible models. Personally, I wish to avoid P2W and micro-transactions, but there are a couple other possibilities which might be viable.

I am talking about the legacy perks that are "coming soon" they add in "extra boost in EXP in warzones" etc. That stuff is great I could use it NOW. Not months from now and from my understanding when you make a new alt on the other faction legacy doesn't carry over.

Meaning I cannot use all the extra kick ass stuff..unless I level it and only way do that is through missions. So why would I have of worth of an extra boost in killing monsters perk. Unless I have to level legacy 10 to get it. They should make it expand to both factions and 1.3 coming soon has been that way for months.

Well, I do not follow all the newest info, but perhaps something in here might help in this specific area of intel:

I like the game and had fun lvling my first character. But now I would just like to run alts through their "storyline" missions and not be forced to do the same planet mission over and over and over. Hopefully these Legacy EXP bonuses will allow for that. I mean I would even run the same character again with dif choices if I could get away with lvling just from their story content and ignore the planet stuff... Well thats my 2 cents. heh

Matching appearance tab is a step in the right direction but it's still limiting in customizing the look of a character. Sometimes the match doesn't look very good either.

What I was talking about is taking any kind of armor piece and putting it in an A-tab. It could be a level 5 shirt you really like but there isn't an orange version of it. You put it on, but only as an appearance item. You're real set of armor is still equipped.

It was a feature in SWG I was very fond of. Then again in order for it to work to it's full potential you'd also have to introduce a color system to crafting armor. But maybe a simple dye kit would work.

Legacy carries over between factions I'm constantly doing stuff with my alts cross faction. Create an alt on the opposite faction and you'll see that you're getting legacy points for that alt.

As for the extra XP boost, its currently on the test server and so should be with us within a month. Surely you see that testing it is requried.

Again, no expert, but it sounds like one may tailor XP a bit to your own desires. For instance, I plan to increase Ship Combat for at least one PC allowing me to skip Heroics and other more difficult solo materials. Perhaps by placing more XP elsewhere will allow you to avoid some planet Mssions, too.

But not all planet Missions are the same, even if they have the same title. For instance, the Forbidden Knowledge mission was somewhat different for my Trooper than it was for either of my Imperials; easier too, as I was able to complete it on my first attempt. For the others, it took several tries, and buffing to 50th first.

And the same Missions have varied dialogue for each class, as well as different outcomes for seperate choices,

You can do that now if you pvp. On my alts I'm just doing the class quests and the flashpoints and PvP. The boosts will make it easier of course and yes you can tailor it for the broad content you want to do.

Take another look in that first link in the OP about Adaptive Gear; seems to contain matched gear looks if they contain themes.

Still it's not enough. Bioware is going through so much trouble adding in something like this when an apperance tab is much better. Adaptive gear is limited to social gear.

Guild Wars 2 even has a dye system allowing for custom colors.

Lord of the Rings Online has a cosmetic slot and two outfit slots.

Fine, Old Republic is a copy and paste job you would think Bioware could have borrowed some good ideas.

Yes; TOR has no innovation whatsoever, and is only a compilation of poor ideas.... Image IPB

Perhaps; perhaps not, but they are far from poor ideas as some suggest.

And this love/ hate thing? The difference is that I love Bioware....
