Perhaps; perhaps not, but they are far from poor ideas as some suggest.

And this love/ hate thing? The difference is that I love Bioware....

No, the difference is that you're a sycophantic suck-up who just backpedaled on your claims of "innovation", once they were shown to be BS.

I find it funny he linked the awards page. I might as well link this one. TOR doesn't come close.

You mean this?

Yes; TOR has no innovation whatsoever, and is only a compilation of poor ideas.... Image IPB

*Crew Skills, Companion storylines, class storyline, etc*

No backpedaling required....

Oh, I see - so what you meant to say is that TOR really is just a compilation of poor ideas, then?

Well, you don't sound like you love Bioware very much to me. Some fan you are.

And I wish to thank DAO for adding to the Player's vocabulary; another Bioware bonus!

Wow, I know I can be a total dick sometimes, but even I have enough humility to admit when I'm wrong, especially when I am proven to be so - that you can't afford to do the same just shows how far up your own ass you truly are.

I could agree with you, but then we would both be wrong....

Believe I was repudiating the claims of another that TOR has no innovation or good ideas, than attached links to show that some notable groups seem to agree. Whether or not Crew Skills and storylines are new ideas is irrelavant; they are good implementations that offer higher quality gameplay.

But I cannot recall reading of another game where the Companions may run Crafting Missions while the Player is elsewhere; even off-line. Maybe not new, but I enjoy it.

Companions serve as factories like in Star Wars Galaxies nothing new.

"So kind of like a factory in Star Wars Galaxies, only it's a character?"

I played on the republic(Different server) I did not have even one legacy point. I was under the impression I had to work through it all again once I switched factions. If that's not true and if carrys over do you have to be on the same server?

I haven't signed in for months. I do not find it fun to sit there and wait for our legacy perks to be unlocked in the legacy "Coming Soon" tab. It's the summer time and people want to have fun and do things. I for one just want to play the game. I won't sit for hours on end doing warzone that give me a tiny tiny fraction of EXP while waiting for them to unlock the perks that should been included.

Legacy points, perks and name are only for the same server. Characters on different servers require you to farm it again.

Then I am corrected. I wanted to branch out to a different server I got tired of old one. Who knows with all the transfers they have been having what the current pop of my server is now. I know it peaked at 24 people. I guess I will find out when I log in.

It's still mind numbing boring to do Warzone's all day.(That's what I enjoy) and I get a very very small perk. I have sat there doing WZ all day, 15 minutes at a time and maybe I gain one level and that's when I'm low level. I will log back in when they fix that in the "coming soon" perks.

I couldn't romance my factories in SWG. But I think some people would have if they could.

I don't remember mentioning terribly written romances.

Besides Lucent heart did it better

You said having companions do your crafting is innovative I was saying they weren't the first do it not the companions crafting mind you but having crafting done while offline, away or something else.

Then there is the reply:

Yes. If you wanted to play the old-style crafting game, and you wanted to watch that progress bar for 20 hours, I mean, you could. You could just stand there. But this is always the part that seems monotonous. So [in SWTOR], I'm the crew boss. I decide what we make. I'm the guy that knows all the recipes. I'm the guy that knows how to do everything. And then I'm putting all of these people to work as my whole crew, into one unit -- your companion characters are all a unit with you. And so, one, it makes all of your companion characters useful, which is nice. Two, it puts in skills for people who aren't ever going to be real crafters. People who are not really into crafting are going to take mission skills, so their people are still going to be useful, but they're going to run them on missions all the time. But serious crafters say that it's a super deep system.

Lulz. Took you a while to come up with that nifty little piece of retroactive reasoning, I see. Amusing.

But oh, how I just love your selective memory - m'afraid you stated innovation specifically, and only backpedaled to "good ideas" after you were called out on it. It's there for all to see, so to deny it is pure folly.

Not that you're a stranger to self-denial, of course - but it is what it is.

I saw a gameplay video of TOR, isn't it not like the combat system in KoTOR? It's just a hack and slash?

No it's like the combat in any other themepark MMO like World of Warcraft.

Here is a link to some info:

http://www.swtor.com...e/chapter-three

With my GUI, I generally have it set up with my most commonly used abilities to the front, and medical and transport abilities to each side. I place some of the more unique and lengthy cooldawn abities to the side as well, to help avoid misfires.

It has been too long since I played KOTOR, but the difference between the two for me is in TOR, I am able to actually run the Ship Combat missions. In KOTOR, it was a feat to advance the game; reason I only was able to make a single playthrough.

Well the biggest difference is Kotor uses the D20 for the Star Wars PnP game. There is no pausing or queing of attacks.

Guild Wars 2 even has a dye system allowing for custom colors.

I've personally never been a big fan of dye systems, as you inevitably wind up with some painful color schemes. I like the match to chest option TOR currently uses, and the addition of augment kits in 1.3 will serve essentially the same function as an appearance tab in terms of wearing optimal armor sets.

I'm not sure why TOR gets so much heat from you for copying other themepark MMOs while you herald a game like Guild Wars 2 which is copying Warhammer/DAoC. WvWvW, Dye System, Public Quests, must be a Warhammer clone, right?

You may wish to view the Server Status applications to see the current population indicators. I

I am content to remain in place, while some servers have become more active since the transfers started.
