Hi all! Due to some emergency paintwork needed in my house, I've just started playing (as a mage, on normal).

Could anyone (yes, that means ANYONE) give me a hint about the diffuculty level on the first fights. It's been pretty plain sailing this far (or SHORT, as I have just started remember?) :-), I've fought my way through the forrest meeting Morrigan (and mum).

So, as I level up, will the challenges be as hard or much harder as I progress, as in it gets harder than my levelling helps me? Beginning to think I've sorted this whole thing already :-)

You'll be smooth sailing until level 7-10, the hardest levels to get through in my opinion during a game. Then by level 10+ both you and your character + party will know how to deal with any situation.

Do the paint fumes give you this light headed "feeling" of mana ?



Really all depends on your mage build. I like ice and light. my fav to do is cone of cold and chain light but everyone has their own style.

Some of the early fights can be a bit tricky, with Alister lacking some of the more important tank talents and your other characters lack crowd control.

DA is hardly a difficult game though. Keep the monsters beating on your tank, and keep your tank up with poultrices and healing spells. Use Cone of Cold or Sleep to keep large group of monsters out of the fight.

Thanks for the input OneBadAssMother. I haven't died once yet (or anyone else in the party either), so I was considering starting over on a harder difficulty level. I'll give it a go until Lvl 7-10 first and see what happens :-)

Thanks again all :-) The fumes makes the game even more fun ;-) I absolutly love it this far (short).....
