I felt like the ghost child actually made sense, what didn't make sense was it's choices and why they were reaping the galaxy.
Having the ghost child but having the endings based more on the original dark energy + gravity stuff involving the Big Rip would of been better.
Well it actually doesn't have to make sense to you as long as it makes sense to them.
I mean, if it would make sense to you, then you'd have to agree with them, hu?

am I going to have to beat the game again? thats alot of work
The FAQ on the link that Chris provided says any save prior to the Cerberus Base assault (Cronos Station) will do.
i think the autosave after you finished the game puts you right at that spot before the base

I wonder why the EC "starts" with the attack on the Cerberus base. Can't wait to find out.
Regarding the interview: The part that starts at about 2:50 sound EXACTLY like the pre-release statemens ("Your choices matter" etc.). But we'll see.

I'm am cautiously curious of this extended cut. I'm not holding out too much hope, given the way in which Bioware has handled the press in regards to the DLC and the past few months of treatment to the fans as well.
I agree with this, in particular how they advertised ME3 getting "the biggest fan reaction in history" as a goog thing.

Cough, Cough....calling in sick to work....
Why? What can they possibly do with this? They already told you they aren't changing it just clarifying. Clarify crap? You are excited over clarification of crap? SHEEPLE!!!
Ya know...
You're questioning us on why we don't think the ending is crap. Then you call us sheeple.
This is contradictory because you think that we should all be like you and think that the ending is crap.
...ya know, some people just have different opinions.
It is crap, I don't care about your opinion. I live in America and for now we have that right. Don't know for how much longer though. Anyway, so you are completely okay with 3 choices after three games where decisions meant everything?
You can't be serious or you are insane.
I dont care for the current ending at all myself, but theres nothing wrong with some ppl actually being happy with it.
Why so hostile?
Guys! Guys! It's ok! Someone can think differently than me. Really it's ok. I mean that would be like me choosing Sythesis or control if I wanted you all to think like me...:innocent: See what I did there?
I enjoyed my ending. I always set out to blow those mo fo's off the face of the galaxy. And the fact that my shep gasps for air at the end....loved it. Just like I wanted my hero to do it! It will be interesting to see what else happens.

There was no acknowledgement in the interview of plotholes or other problems - they simply mentioned that more closure was needed. On that note, I expect to be severely disappointed with the extended cut - in my opinion, at a bare minimum, the Normandy crash scene needs to be completely removed. Having your friends run away in the final fight is ridiculous, especially when squadmates you had running down to the beam with you get out onto the island. There's no way Javik, for example, would leave the fight - he was going to kill himself afterwards anyway!
Here's hoping Bioware plans to fix the plotholes after all but just forgot to mention it.

I am slightly on edge about if this update will bring closure, or will make things even more curious. Honestly, I would be happy if they added a bunch of new stuff right up until the beam..then just leave that part as is. I would rather question and consider the brilliance of indoctrination than be let down at it just being a bit of nonsense from some crappy AI that for some reason I never truely questioned and went against everything my shepherd stood for and believed in (come on, I united the flippin geth and quarians...the equasion was solved already!)
