I just beat the extended cut on insanity and ended up choosing synthesis. I then watched the other 3 endings destroy, control, and refusal on youtube. I consider synthesis still the best ending because it offers the most possibilities for advancement for all races/species. everyone gains the knowledge from all the previous cycles paying respect to the protheans and all the countless other harvested species. the knowledge everyone would have would bring peace to all worlds and the technological upgrades and advances in science would essentially cure all diseases/pain/suffering, crime would go to a halt, edi even hints at the possiblity of advancing far enough to achieve immortality. it almost sounds too perfect.

im quite happy with the new dlc. fixed the most reaper sized plotholes and issues i had. it now feels like the way mass effect was meant to end for me. thanks bioware for deciding to fix it. although i cannot for the life of me understand how we were meant to guess all this stuff from the original endings

Fantastic Endings. Thank you so much for the extended ending. I love Mass Effect so much I felt lost when the ending did not show any of my previous decisions.

I tried all 4 endings and I felt that they finally completed the game and left me feeling like I had finished an epic series like it should. I loved the pictures of the future and thank you for adding the previous surprise ending which you could only get through playing multiplayer :)

Thank you so much for listening to all the Mass Effect Fans.

Thank you so much for this fantastic DLC BioWare! Ever since I first played KOTOR and Mass Effect 1 you guys have become my absolute favorite game developer and probably will forever be. As RPG's have always been my favorite genre of the gaming industry, no one has succeeded in delivering complete, immersive, living breathing entertainment the way you guys do. Be proud of the work you all put out every single day, because there isn't any other developer out there in the world to me that does better. Thank you for restoring the Mass Effect series and officially completing the story of Commander Shepard.

THE DLC WAS EXCELLENT!!!

Now all that's left to be answered is the release date for Mass Effect 4 ;)

Besthda did a good Job With Skyrim to   Waiting to get my  hands on dawnguard  hehe   but yes i do agree with you on the endings i was okay with  what they did but they added a few things that i knew was missing but the thing  that Leaves my  only question un answered "is the destroy ending when you   Live" unsure of if a Passing Alliance or other vessel picks Shepard up and Reunites with   their LI  mine ofc was Liara in one file   Garrus in my other  :)
probs gonna do one for Tali  one for Jack  maybe ash to   i had one for ash but for some reason my old XB  died on me >_<

As much as people say Bethesda is amazing, Skyrim and the Elder Scrolls series are amazing, etc; I have never liked them that much. I understand the idea of exploring the world and being multiple classes at once but those games never pulled me into it. They didn't have completely 3-dimensional characters and stories that rival cinema and novels the way BioWare's games do for me. Plus, I'm more of a linear fan rather than "pick your path every second"...unless we're walking about something like a Rockstar Games game like Red Dead Redemption (that was a masterpiece). Basically, no one beats BioWare in terms of RPG's for me, lol. That's just my opinion.

my life used to belong to square back in the day....i'd play and replay final fantasy 7, 8, 9, and 10. i hated all the final fantasies after that and now my life belongs to bioware in mass effect and dragon age. i wonder when the next rpg franchise will take over and whether it will be on this console?

Is there any hope for an Extended Cut soundtrack release? It could include the new musically "accented" extended cut scenes, and also include some tracks we didn't get before- London FOB, the Catalyst's Theme, etc.

Come on BioWare, I *WANT* to throw more money at you. Give me the tunes.

Excellent DLC idea. Not only will it encourage further SP gameplay with someone other than Shepard, it will prove and confirm that Shepard is in fact alive and that he will eventually interact with the rest of the crew.

But then again, some soldiers in London trying to regroup should most likely find Shepard's body after a while.

EC DLC still doesn't address why Sovereign needed to stay within the galaxy to keep an eye out for space-faring civilization (Catalyst should have known; the Citadel is part of it) or why the keepers needed to send out the signal for the Reapers to return (Citadel is part of the catalyst; the Catalyst could have done it).
Mass Effect 1's events occur because the Protheans changed how the keepers worked. If the Catalyst is what ME3 would have us believe, the Protheans' actions should have made no difference. The Catalyst being, in part, the Citadel nullifies anything done to the keepers. It's an AI that controls the Reapers directly, thereby rendering the keepers and the signal moot.

The ending was, and still is, bad writing. Adding Miracle Whip to a turd sandwich does not a Rueben make.

My LI also didn't put Shep's name on the wall. She wasn't there (Miranda). However, Traynor also did not put my name on the wall, and she's a lesbian, so I think it has more to do with the Control ending than the LI angle.

I'm extremely mollified by the extended cut. I think we shouldn't have had to fight and protest for that reasonable amount of closure, but I'm glad we ended up with it.

I went with refuse first to vent my catalyst-ballkick-urges, and that was a pretty good way of handling it. Then, I changed to destroy and loved it. Whatever imperfections remain aside, I felt something powerful emotionally - which is what I had been bothered by since the start. That was the complaint i needed addressed, and it was.

Ok, rueben's are gross to begin with and now I find out you put Miracle Whip (worse condiment ever!!) on them!  That's not only gross it's in poor taste!!

Oh, I get it.  Nevermind....  Image IPB

I have just completed the extended cut by choosing synthysis using a character from a ME1 -> ME2 -> ME3 import with all the DLCs and Liara ended up putting my name plate on the memorial wall just above Anderson's

Which ending did you choose? I noticed in the Synthesis and Control endings the plaque gets put up by someone. In the Destroy option, the screen fades away. It's like they hope you may still be alive, though are positive you are dead in the other two endings. Synthesis makes sense they'd know since your energy was dispersed across the galaxy; you are part of them now. But they'd have no reason to believe differently (from the Destroy choice) in Control..

I think it all has to do with the entire ME trilogy, I have saved the Racni, saved Wrex, completed ME2 with everyone's loyalty including completing all the dlc's,blowed up the collector base, in ME3 I cured the genophage, saved Eve, made peace between the  Geth and the Quarians, saved the Racni queen from the Reapers, did not accept Dalatrass' offer, total Galatic troops at 6200, romanced Liara in all 3 games, always chosing Paragon options. I only did the Synthesis ending, going to do the Control and Destroy later, but Liara did put my name on the wall

In case anyone at Bioware is keeping track, I just wanted to say thanks for the Extended Cut.

In retrospect, I simply wanted to see my results, rather than speculate what they were.

The Control ending with my Femshep was what really changed my mind. Well done.

I didn't play control but chose Destroy so it has nothing to do with
Control / destroy but I think it is related to Shep live or die
But I could be wrong
Might also BW throwing is a bone just to see what happens lol

Erm... I had 6k+ EMS at very end and chose destruction, Shepard took the single breath at the very end, however the name plaque was put up. Is that some kind of bug? I will have to take a look once again.

Why doesnt anyone realize that the claim that bioware listened to the fans is totally false. They only fixed three plotholes and created many more. The expanded endings only brought the grade of the endings from an F to a D-(and that is being generous). The whole refusal ending was basically saying. "Hey you don't like the way we chose to end the game to coincide with our "artistic vision" you don't have to choose them. You can refuse and since you don't like the choices screw you everyone dies." Bioware totally lied about providing closure and listening to the fans. I don't care if the ending is happy or not. I just want a WELL WRITTEN ending that is on par with the rest of the series. Not this crap that they shoved down our throats.

That being said if you enjoyed the new expanded cut, good for you that is your right. But to me and many others this was just yet another slap in the face by bioware and another round of false advertising. Will I be getting any future DLC from bioware on this game. If I have to pay for it definately not

Yeah, exactly.

Except the Femshep and the Control thing.

The italicized bit doesn't follow. Just because the Citadel is an AI doesn't mean it can undo a modfication of the keepers; the keepers are its repair mechanism. I couldn't just tell my melanoma to stop being cancer; I needed to have a surgeon cut it out. (Actually, maybe AIDS would be a better metaphor there.)

Remember, Vigil didn't know what the scientists found on the Citadel, or exactly what they did.

What was false about the advertising? Bio repeatedly said they weren't changing the endings, and they didn't. (Refusal isn't a new ending; in the original game you could refrain from using the Crucible, which led to the same result.)

btw guys easy trick how to see all endings ingame, is when u finish the game, there s still autosave where u re near portal to Citadel, and from that point u only have to shoot husks and marauder, or just marauder when u lower difficulty, and then just walk throught citadel and have dialogues with illusive man

And where are my blue babies??
After 3 years still no sign of the blue babies
Maybe this has been answered in one of the other forums
Buti might have an interesting theory about this
Since staying loyal to Liara since ME1
So something must be amiss
Either with Shepard or Liara
Or how long does it take for Asari to become pregnant
Or can they some how "store" the randomized genes
Until the appropriate time they want it?
Or is Shepard Sterile due to what Cerberus did

Or a darker if you will reason
Is Liara in an early stage of becoming an Ardat Yaksi
Since Samara tells you that they are from when
Asari mate with an Asari and are Sterile
And Liara tells you in ME 1 her parents were both Asari
I do not really believe the last option since I guess
We would have noticed something by now

Might be interesting if one of the Devs could provide
An answer to this
But any theorys are welcome

About Mass Effect 3 and the Extend Cut DLC, I only have two thing's to say.

1:-»I will never buy that game;

2:-»I will pretend that Mass Effect series end in the Mass Effect 2.

Bioware made many mistakes in this game in many aspect's. In the youtube we have a lot of videos showing that mistakes. - for this problem I only see two solution's: Create a DLC correcting all the mistakes made, or launch a Mass Effect 4 very soon to correct that mistakes and give us a reason to buy Mass Effect 3.
