Xbox is 7 yrs old, could be a limit in the os (dos and windows used to be limited to 2gb file size) at the end of the day its down to micosoft.

I am literally sick to my stomach with worry right now over this. I knew a lot of things I didn't like about the ending were still going to be intact from earlier announcements, but now that it's all here and real...I dunno. I can't see how this is going to save the endings, let alone the franchise.

However, I am reserving any real judgement until I actually see it for myself. I have also a bunch of pros (and cons) about what I'm hearing:

Pros:

- 2 gigs of content. That's quite a bit...hopefully it will be good stuff.
- They say the endgames in EC will play out based on previous choices, something I thought was severely, severely lacking about the endings as they are. I hope they're not embellishing here, because doing something like this will redeem the ending a lot in many peoples' eyes, even if new endings aren't there.

Cons:

- No new endings: Sorry guys, but I think this was the best happy medium. You keep the choices we have intact, but add new ones so players feel like they get to have "their Shepard's" ending. There really needed to be a wider range for the finale. Also, many people feel like the current choices have morally abhorrent themes (I am one of them), and it's a shame those have to be the only ones.
- Still pigeonholed: I have a feeling we're still going to be pigeonholed into undesirable circumstances, ones where no choice we ever made could avoid the outcome...like the SR2 being stranded, the relays being destroyed, etc.

So there you have it. I hope this at least makes what is there easier to swallow, but honestly, I never felt like "clarity and closure" was the issue. So...this will not address my issue, unfortunately.

2GIGS!? THE CORE GAME WAS 15! XD. MP DLC around 100 megs each. Uses that as a sign and crosses fingers for awesomeness...or closureness even!

Extended Cut endings will differ depending on choices made throughout the Mass Effect series, so multiple playthroughs with a variety of different decisions will be required to experience the variety of possibilities offered by the new content.

Hmm well this is unexpected. I had hoped the Extended Cut would be released June, but I had given up hope. You'd think when announcing the EC you'd want to do at a time where it gets the most attention.  Just seems an odd time to release unless you're trying to stop people from going back to Skyrim.


Oh well at least I get to find out fairly soon whether I'm completely insane or not. Still 1.9 Gigs is uh quite a bit of content. Either that's a lot of changes made to the current endings... or there is actually more to do. Yes I have a good feeling about this I think.

If I do not want to reload the save before the Ending Parts of ME3 to see The Extended Cut, am I able to Star NG + with My Main/Personal/Number One Shepard/Story and STILL see The Extended Cut? But what if I say, "Forgot restarting that Cerberus Base Mission, and seeing the Ending again! I want to start NG + and work my way up to it?"

This is great news! And so unexpectedly early at that! Splendid!

I've really been itching to start my 2nd playthrough, hearing the Vigil theme from ME1 in particular made me want to revisit the 3rd game, but I kept telling myself, "No, wait for the Extended Cut. You can do it." - and now it's in 4 days (well, probably 5, since I'm in Europe) and it's so soon! Yay!

Not expecting the ending to suddenly be awesome, just happy to see clarifications and whatnot it can't get any worse, right?  no, I should be nice now; if anyone from BioWare is reading this, just want to say I'm grateful you took the time to create something you didn't exactly need to create. Hopefully things will calm down on BSN  come Tuesday
