All I want too.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Merizan tweeted that this won't be happening.

It IS Merizan we're talking about though....so who knows? We can only hope.

Hard to imagine a context in which Tali takes off her mask. Being on Earth and all of that... Unless they're planning a "x years later" scenario.

We are pleased to announce that the Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut DLC will launch on June 26.

The Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC is a downloadable content pack that will expand upon the events at the end of Mass Effect 3. Through additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes, the Extended Cut will include deeper insight to Commander Shepard's journey based on player choices during the war against the Reapers.

The Extended Cut will be available to download at no additional charge for Mass Effect 3 game owners starting on June 26 for PC and Xbox 360 customers worldwide. Playstation 3 customers in North America will be able to download the Extended Cut DLC on June 26 and the rest of the world on July 4.

Casey Hudson, Mac Walters and Jessica Merizan sat down and recorded a new podcast where they discuss what you can expect in the Extended Cut and address many of your questions and concerns. Please check out the new Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut podcast hereand read the Extended Cut FAQ here.

We look forward to bringing you the Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut starting June 26.

i went to the website (masseffect.bioware.com) and it said

"The Extended Cut will release on June 26th on Xbox 360, PC, and
PlayStation 3 in North America and July 4th for PlayStation 3 in Europe."

does that mean that for xbox 306 in europe it will also be released on july 4th??

Question for Bioware (moderator?)

In the FAQ section on the EC DLC it says I should (can?) play from a save game that's right before the attack on the Cerberus base, but as I want to get the most out of the EC DLC, should I replay a completely new run with my canon Shepard instead?

I admit I'm getting confused Arathyl. Bioware haven't worded the things well. As far as I can gather the delayed date only effects european playstation 3 users. So hopefully it won't effect PC or Xbox 360 players in europe. If it does i'll be disappointed to say the least.

Oh dear...

Hope you put some actual work in this BioWare. I would not want to be on the receiving end if this one blows.

Best of luck to you!

Well I'm definitely excited for the EC. Iv'e been unable to bring myself to play a second run-though with the ending left as it was! I really, really hope this will bring a sense of closure for Shepard's saga. (I fear it wont, but I still hope). I also hope for the actual "multiple endings" that were promised, advertised and marketed - instead of just the three different colored backgrounds.

The reason why it starts at the Cerberus base is because that is the point of no return. It's where you will be able to do any other DLCs that come along. When you beat the game and after the buy DLC message that is where it plops you, right before you started the base. There are autosaves after that point, but once you beat the game, it reverts back to the cerberus base autosave and the rest are nonexistent. It doesn't actually mean they changed anything from that point on, just the last few minutes; it's just the best place to start as anybody who has beaten the game will have that save point.

if they changed the few last minutes we can just restart the "Citadel: The Return" mission.

Great news! I look forward to see what EC will provide to the ending.
I have hope it will be successful after reading this: "The Extended Cut endings will differ depending on choices made throughout the Mass Effect series, so multiple playthroughs with a variety of different decisions will be required to experience the variety of possibilities offered by the new content."

One good thing about the EC is it has given me chance to up my war assets. I did Priority: Earth for the second time today so I could get to a save before the Cerberus base and was determined to finish with Shepard alive, even though this wouldn't be my true EC ending. I 'saved' Anderson and destroyed the reapers but Shepard was still dead because apparently my 4200 EMS wasn't enough. So, after it put me back for the Cerberus Base attack I did all the side missions I could and got 5800 EMS now, ready for July 4 (Sony, EU, grr).

If the EC had already been included with release, I would of had to see the aftermath of my crappy control ending.

This is not what we wanted. You never listened to us. You ignored us at every interval.

Congrats BioWare, you're the NEW Lionhead Studios. Casey Hudson is your Peter Molyneux. You went from gaining our trust and loyalty to now creating nothing, but lies and disbelief in your fans and consumers.

You never cared about your fans, otherwise we wouldn't have had this "Extended Cut" of the same ending we hated. Drew Karpyshyn should have stayed as lead writer, at least he'd keep Casey Hudson in check.

Thanks for making the amazing adventure meaningless and pointless within the 10min the game ended. If I had known this is what Casey Hudson wanted, I wouldn't have even bothered with ME at all.

Thanks for not listening to your fans. We'll still fight you btw, till we get our better ending.

Even if this ending doesn't turn out to be happy.
The content will be good, from a narrative perspective.
That is enough.

A celebration? More like a pacifier.
