People don't really judge the DLC. They know that the EC would not give them a different ending and they automatically consider it to be ****. It's mostly an emotional response. You should not bother, really.

Yeah, you're right. As i understand aswell why people feel that way.
I am not so disappointed as most of the people here are from the ending, and i just welcome the additional content and hope to enjoyed it. Will seen soon enough! :)

The only thing that matters is that if *you* enjoyed the game.

It was just ok to me.Besides 2 missions and the quests that went with them.Other than that it was mediocre. To me.It wasn't fun.I will check out the DLC sometime this week. Not in a big rush.I hope folks get what they want.

I did, and still enjoying it. Despite the fact i dont like the ending either, i couldnt let it to ruin  the whole series for me. In fact i don't expect any other game to inflict the same feelings in me from its story and universe like Mass Effect does.:)

This article pretty much sums up how I think most ppl feel about the EC-  http://www.gamefront...t-fix-anything/

This sums up my thoughts pretty much spot-on.

It's not really just about the ending anymore. What I find most frustrating and maddening at the moment is certain people at Bioware. They STILL seem to be clueless about what the complaints are about, or they are just too proud to admit they make mistakes. I get the impression they pick which fans/yes-men they choose to listen to, and ignore the rest. Your ending is logically unsound, Bioware. It's broken. No amount of time to "say goodbye" to your characters is going to fix that. If you can't even admit that fact, I don't see what difference the DLC is going to make.

Even if the DLC would fix the ending (and I'm not holding my breath), it's not going to fix my loss of respect towards the company and certain people working there.

All of the above, my feelings exactly.

Well that just came out of nowhere. Looking forward to seeing what's been done with it - either I'll be happy or I won't, but at least I'll be one or the other rather than just waiting expectantly.

Also, just noticed it needs 1.9 gigs on a PC. That's pretty sizeable.

I enjoyed the origional ending and I think this extended cut will make it spectacular. Thanks Bioware! :)

You enjoyed the ****ing ending.... Wow. The level of stupidity these days, it's not even funny......

Do you know what's worse? Annoying self-proclaimed "true" fans who never shut up about how they hate the ending. It also created another level of stupidity I cannot even comprehend.

Love the comments for the podcast and how the ratings for it have been disabled. Lol!

Sounds like they still don’t have a freaking clue about what’s going and it sounds like more of a PR crapfest than anything.

Why didn’t they just do this kind of content thing for the extended cut in the first place? Oh right, they were going with a “artistic” rushed out the door and unfinished game.

I cant wait to see the crap storm if this thing sucks. Or how it will affect their next games sales. This extended cut thing will only tell EA/BioWare how many customers they may still have. Of those, how many will buy their next game new or with preorders over renting it, waiting until it’s a $20 game, buy it used or not even looking at it.

-Nice of them to force us to use a save game for before we attack the Cerberus base instead of one during the Priority Earth mission. If I don’t have a save I can use I wont play this game again to see this thing. Screw it, the games not worth my time a second run through.

Dude...what the heck? Just because he liked the ending you're going to call him stupid? Everybody has different opinions on the matter and just because they're in conflict with yours doesn't make them stupid.

And to confirm...I'm one of the "VOCAL MINORITY" (because that's what we are) that didn't like the ending but am I going to go off and call people stupid for having a different opinion than me? Hell no! In fact, I'm happy for him because he enjoyed the game.  (Not to say I didn't enjoy the game. It was just the ending I didn't like.)

Liked the origional ending and can't wait to have it elaborated on win win, also saying that doesn't somehow lower my IQ or make me any less a fan of mass effect as those "true fans" would have you belive

I didn't mind the actual choice in the ending. My problem was the fact that I had put hundreds of hours into the series and got a generic cutscene with no epilogue to speak of. I never found out what happened to the people and races I just spent all that time with. Yeah, granted, I can envision my own epilogue, but I don't feel that the ending to the last game in Shepard's story was the right time to leave things open-ended. The fact that this EC is 2GB tells me that my concerns are most likely fixed.

Nicely put.I didn't think much of the game.Just average to me.Others did.Cool they spend their money for it.If they enjoyed it they got their moneys worth. Why some folks can't except that some folks liked/disliked it I will never understand. They are allowed to post their opinions.Folks don't have to like it but they have as much right here as any other paying customer.Suck it up princesses. You can't change that.To many control freaks with same old talking points thinking they have the right to tell folks what they can do.

We might be a vocal minority, but not a minority of opinion. The majority of ME3 players didn't like the ending. You are welcome to see any poll or gaming forum outside or BSN and 7-8 out of 10 people who finished the game are complaining about the ending.

Prepare for the worst. I love mass effect but everyone got incredibly hyped for the original ending and as a result we were majorly disappointed. Prepare for the worst and hope for a pleasant surprise.

I'm happy to finally get an epilogue, but this is such an overall disappointment.

I hope the Mass Effect series is remade by a competent studio in the future that actually cares about its IPs.

It's not that much if it's mostly cinematics. All the existing endgame cinematics put together come to about 1.6 gigs -- see for yourself in ME3/BioGame/movies.
