In literary terms - if you allude to something (you know, like our choices over three games mattering at all) and then you have to EXPLAIN those allusions (you know, like with a 1.9GB EC full of cinematics after the game is released) - you never alluded to anything in the first place.
Sure, we'll get a few minutes of explanatory cut scenes - just so we all 'get' what Messrs. Hudson and Walters 'meant' with the ending originally. Or perhaps what they intended. We are to use our imagination for the rest.
Sorry, gentlemen (Messrs. Hudson and Walters, that is) - but why would anyone slog through 100 hours of gameplay over three games and who knows how much DLC and repeated play-throughs to have any part of the ending of the trilogy 'left to their imagination'?
Call me a skeptic and a cynic if you will, but I have little hope for this EC. I don't wish to dash anyone's hopes, but in my view the podcast essentially told us nothing will change.
Even if you don't want to believe my take, have a look at what Game Front
http://www.gamefront...t-fix-anything/ thinks of the whole thing.
I'll be looking forward to the community's reaction on Tuesday.
