Watched the Control ending on Youtube - deliberately staying away from the Destroy ending as that will be my ending next week, and I have mixed feelings. I still don't get how the squad got on the normandy - did I miss that explanation. Though I do like and accept the explanation for Joker leaving - not sure about the new crash scene though, he don't even look worried!
I was put off when I saw the still image epologue, but liked that it did show what happened after in a lot more detail. But one big problem (minor spoiler): there is some extended fighting scenes on Earth after you activate the crucible and it is just some DUMB SOLDIER. That could have been one of our squad instead! That sucked, I didn't care about that guy. Could of been Jacob, Grunt, Jack, Miranda anyone.
But yes, overly from what I see I am satisfied. I still look forward to my destroy ending next week.

... I think I'm going to kill the entire Normandy's team. Slowly.
EDIT: Never mind, seems like youtube requires the stupid Adobe flash player. Gods. The things I do to watch the refusal ending...

You have to be joking... oh wait, you're serious? Ok. Huh.
I suppose I have to get used to this trash-talk here on BSN.
Imagine Lord of the Rings consisted on a (mostly) great story of running around Middle Earth gathering help to fight Mordor. But Tolkein wrote the last book along the lines of a giant battle at Minas Tirith, cut to Frodo getting his figner bitten off by a character you've never met before the last 5 minutes (Golum, aka Starbrat), cut to Bilbo, Frodo, Gandalf, etc on a ship to the Gray Havens.
Assuming you would be at least mildly frustrated by that ending I have just described, (if you're not, I'm done speaking with you since you clearly have no sense of narrative continuity) then riddle me this: how is a story that breaks narrative continuity even possibly non-contrived?
I suggest you lay off the insults. I'm a writer myself. The game is told from your perspective, as Commander Shepard. The vision of the original ending is to invoke the reader into postulating as to what happens given the lore of the game and what you are shown. You know that the Crucible, once armed, is potentially a destructive force that does not discriminate (and we don't know what the Crucible does up to that point, hence the fear ingrained in most of the fleets as they left Earth when the Crucible was armed).
There is nothing contrived or immitated. The ending forces you to think as to what will happen to the future of the universe you created.

Exactly. BioWare can't satisfy everyone, and they also have a story to make. If everyone pitched in to make BioWare's own story, it will be bland and insipid... not to mention that I don't want some lazy fanboy's own contrived ending shoved down my throat.
BUUUULLLLCCRRRAAAAAAAAAAP!!!!!!!!!!!!
The spirit of Mass Effect is that Bioware actually CAN satisfy everyone. They could have covered almost all the bases with spliting storiies. The amount of branches they could have added is only limited by their decisions.
People like you, that repeat mindlessly things they heard, ignoring what's in front of your eyes make me sad.

I'm not mindlessly repeating anything. I'm stating a fact. No one will ever be completely satisfied by an ending. It's not an objective thing to like or dislike an ending. It's entirely subjective.

And you just did it again, ignoring one more time that there is no limit to write stuff to please EVERYONE, even if at the slightest level. You're hopeless.saracen16 wrote...

I don't understand why so many people ask the same question...

So in my only save game - that I haven't completed so far, it's just before the Cerberus assault - where I have worked to unlock the final renegade/paragon dialogue options with the Illusive Man on the citadel, the EC won't play out? I'll have to finish this save game first and THEN load the Legend Save file to play through it all over again?
Just so that's crystal clear.

I think we have to wait until 19:00 to see it, as we had for everything they published on web.

The problem is that Bioware and EA are business. Having 1% of their customers satisfied and happy as you, while the majority leave and stop to buy their products is bad for them.Lokiwithrope wrote...
I liked the endings.
UNLESS every one of you happy people buy like 50 copies of each product to make up for the unsatisfied former customers. Can you take that burden?

You don't have to play the game again. If you haven't completed Cerberus Assault yet, then continue your game after downloading the DLC. Legend save is only for those who finished the game. You have to start Cerberus Assault mission to experience EC.
Okay good, I don't think I could handle watching my Shepard get broken down, bloodied and finally die twice in succession.
Though "kitten therapy" fixes most things.
