@Sebenon Official twitter I believe. It's stupid, ~3 hours left. Add download time to this and we'll be playing it tomorrow.

Exactly. BioWare can't satisfy everyone, and they also have a story to make. If everyone pitched in to make BioWare's own story, it will be bland and insipid... not to mention that I don't want some lazy fanboy's own contrived ending shoved down my throat.

BUUUULLLLCCRRRAAAAAAAAAAP!!!!!!!!!!!!

The spirit of Mass Effect is that Bioware actually CAN satisfy everyone. They could have covered almost all the bases with spliting storiies. The amount of branches they could have added is only limited by their decisions.

People like you, that repeat mindlessly things they heard, ignoring what's in front of your eyes make me sad.

I'm not mindlessly repeating anything. I'm stating a fact. No one will ever be completely satisfied by an ending. It's not an objective thing to like or dislike an ending. It's entirely subjective.

And you just did it again, ignoring one more time that there is no limit to write stuff to please EVERYONE, even if at the slightest level. You're hopeless.

Bioware also doesn't have the eight (I'm making an estimate) years of development time to accomplish that.
Is it possible to make everyone happy with tailor made endings? Sure.
Is it realistic? Not even close.

Trying not to read the spoilers, which probably has made me miss something, but I'm not finding any place to download Extended Cut for PC. I'm in Sweden, but as I understood it we should be good to go now as well?

And for those who do not speak Swedish.

It will appear on Origin first press the I (information) and then buy extensions. But it has not turned up yet. I think unfortunately we have to wait until 21:00 tonight. Those with Xbox can access it but not us with the PC!

@Priestly: Better update the OP, this is goddamn annoying to see people ask 'where is the EC' while it is stated 1-2 posts before them but they miss it since they only read the OP.
@Saracen: Kidding me right? Whereas in some types of story open endings aren't a problem, with games (especially an ending of a trilogy like ME3) you do not leave TOO much open questions. You can leave some, but not in the way the ME3-team seems to have done. Haven't watched the new endings yet (waiting to play the EC myself tonight, will give an final judgment then), but if it is like others say, the majority of the plotholes (and almost all the big ones) still exist. That it is unsure where the crew landed, good for an sequel. That it is unknown what in the end happened to Shephard with Destroy (dunno if this is fixed already), no problem in case you want to make an sequel with Shephard again. Those two combined, less smart.
Those two combined with all the plotholes (destruction relays (how to rebuild?), etc), still totally bad writing.

Based on what I've now seen of the EC material, I believe that Bioware truly tried to make as much right with Mass Effect 3 as they possibly could for their fans within the parameters that they clearly established back in March. They specifically said then that their EC would only expand upon what had previously been seen, and that only new cut scenes and cinematics would be added to provide more closure. Only the most hard-nosed and intransigent cynics can view the various changes that have been made and still believe that what has been produced is nothing more than a huge FU (as some are saying). If nothing else, the additional choice that has been added, and yes there is one, should have satisfied anybody that preferred to see the color options completely excised.

Bioware deservedly took a beating over this mess, and after circling their corporate wagons, they collectively went into damage control mode - for all of their fans. Now, they've delivered - free of charge - and there is no reason to keep hurling vitriol right back at them. If you really, still, and truly just hate the game, then okay, but the folks at Bioware earned the benefit of the doubt with what they have created in the EC. I have to let go of some of my former opinions, appreciate much of what I've seen today (and I do appreciate it as is), and now I can finally pop this one back into the console; and maybe even play some more.

Thanks, Bioware!

All I can really say is that I may not be fully satisfied, but I understand that Commander Shepard's story is over and it's time to move on. Needless to say, I'm pretty much done with this franchise and I will not be buying any future DLC if any were to come out, and I'll just go back to headcanoning my endings and be happy with just that. Bioware DOES INDEED do amazing work, just as they did with the entire franchise, but everyone had too high hopes for ME3. We're all just going to have to live with that I suppose.

I liked the 4th ending.

Well, not 'like' but I find it fitting somehow.

So, most videos only show the endings from Starchild's conversation onwards.

Can anyone confirm if Cronos Station/Earth have new stuff?

I can't believe the number of people who are ****ing an moaning about DLC which is free and adds a bunch of content to the game.

If you didn't like the endings, you probably won't like the EC, but that's your personal taste. I take my hat off to Bioware for going to the effort and spending the money needed to create and realease this, yet still charge nothing for it (I give this sort of compliment very rarely about a private company).

Applause for you and Bioware, Mass Effect 3 was an amazing game, i love the fact that if you werent  happy with your ending you could choose a new one, there were many choices which would sometimes drastically change the games, multiplayer is awesome and if you dont like the game, why are you on the forums?

If you look at the endings you'll understand why exactly they don't charge us for this. These EC endings are the one that were supposed to be there from the very beginning, but were cut out because BioWare didn't have enough time to finish it and EA forced them to launch the game on 6th of may.

Applause for both of these posts. Anywhere and everywhere I look people are complaining about the entire damn game. All of it was well done, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, no?

EA forced them to, if bioware had more time then no one would be complaining, EA forced them Bioware made it amazing, EA made it worse by rushing it, if EA would have waited im sure there would be the same amount of fans because a game like ME3 is worth waiting for.

Drastically was an overstatement no matter whaty in the end the reapers are defeated, but im saying all the choices bioware put in it, choosing your squad romance what species you recruit, geth vs. quarian the challenges that come along with recruiting certain species like Krogen Turian Salarian, it makes the game so much more fun and makes you want to see all of the possibilitys and makes the game so much more deep and you never know whats going to be around the corner if you make a different desicion then your las playthrough and thats what makes Bioware and Mass Effect two amazing things.

You misunderstand my point. I just don't like how people like to point out that the EC is free. It is NOT. It is something that was supposed to be part of the original game. Which means that we have already paid for it when we bought the game.
